I can't believe the ones that wear dark pants, white shirts and ride bicycles around here are wearing this. Some of the guys are fairly nice looking. I'll have to go back and watch "Latter Days" again.
Pecker, you'll have to clear this one up for me and DirtyVideophile.

Does the mission come before or after the covenent?

If the mission is after the covenent, then yes, those cute missionaries are wearing their garments under their suits.

i had it explained to me this way. if you are doing something your shouldn't be doing and get down to your "sacred" underwear, then you will think about what you are doing.

I have seen Mitt Romney on TV a few times. I find it hard to believe that he is wearing thoses undies pictured under his GQ wardrobe. Mitt is a very dapper dresser and that does not fit in with his outter-wear.

The garments are extremely thin and in recent decades they've shortened the legs, the arms, cut a huge v-neck and minimized the hems: they hide very well under clothing. I assure you that Mitt wears them. Many LDS men are actually embarrased to wear them and won't change clothes in public. Read the funny, and sad, book "Secret Ceremonies" by the late Deborah Laake who explains them thoroughly.

There are some harsh and ignorant remarks on this site about religion. I would have elaborated on why I call my sex partner my consort if people weren't so stupid and hateful. yeah right  This site seems to have a few ignorant muggles as well as some intelligent people. I seem to attract both but the most rude and ignorant try to gang up on me but it doesn't work . Stay on topic! This thread has nothing to do with you or your previous posts. If you are a Mormon and can add something intelligent to the conversation then please do so.

picture. Wow, that's interesting.

I'll have to go back and watch "Latter Days" again. :lmao: I've seen that movie twice. Oh yeah, I'm sure that flick had a Mormon consultant on set to correct any fallacys.

I had no idea Mormons had holy underwear. Learn something new every day. I know, isn't it amazing.

If you watch the Latter Days DVD with the commentary on, at about 10:30 the director comments that he did have the actors wearing authentic Mormon garments, and that it's one more reason that he's going to hell for that movie.

At about 57:50, Aaron's character strips off his clothes and garments, prior to having sex with Christian, and the director comments that this was symbolic of Aaron shedding his belief system. Here's the scene (without commentary):
YouTube - latter days --

Here's a video of an "investigation" into Mormon "magic underwear." The tone is disrespectful overall. The only reason I post it is that you get to see the garments at about 4:30. Skip the rest of the video, which is worthless.
YouTube - Magic mormon underwear

A few years ago there were some controversial art photos taken of a gay Mormon missionary couple, whom I believe began their relationship while on mission together. I'm attaching one of the pics. If you look very closely at the guy on the left, you can see the symbol of the square by his right nipple.

This is somewhat off-topic, but I came across this somewhat surprising calendar. You just get to see them shirtless, however, not the garments.

my mormon friend told me of two guys who came on their mission and were partnered up and were straight and then they were transfered and about a year later they transfered back and were both gay.

I am a former Mormon (including missionary). I still have a few "souvenir" pair of garments that I haven't worn in many years. Here's what they look like on me.

Hmm, I usually play basketball with Mormons every week. I will ask next time I see them, but from playing basketball their underwear that does show, is really all over the place.

I've read and reread this and i have no idea why consort has its place in religion or mormon underwear for that matter.

Thanks for sharing the pics. The material seems very light and almost sheer. What's the material? It seems to have a sort of textured weave, is that right? Are they comfortable? Thanks.

Oh my gadangy damn! I am in Mormon ex-Mormon heaven. I bet Mitt Romney is hung like that in those magic (time space continuum) undies.

I bet those Mormons are like adult porn stars behind the puritanicals. That is what kinda turns me on.

Mormon garments come in a couple different materials (your choice). They have full cotton, cotton/poly blend, and all polyester. In the pics I posted, I wearing two different materials. One is 100% cotton, and the other is their cotton/poly mesh version.

As far as comfort, I'd say no, they aren't that comfortable. They tend to be bulky and somewhat il-fitting.

Haha...I never though I would see a thread like this. I'm not Mormon but I live around a lot of mormons, (Utah) so I see these undergarments all the time. There's a few different styles you can choose from as stated before. They all have one thing in common though, hanging out the bottom of everybody's shorts. That's why a chain retailer called "Knee Shorts" is so popular here. They look very uncomfortable, and I see people tugging at them all the time. I've been told there are a few times when it's ok not to wear them; When you're swimming, when you're showering, and when you're having sex. Though it comes down to the point of how strict you are if you take them off for any of the three activities. Sort of like caffeine as well.

Trust me - Mormon garments are not the kind of clothing a guy would wear to increase his sex appeal. As bad as the male garments look, the female garments are even worse. sfniceguy must have a smokin hot body to look that good while wearing garments.

It seems obvious to me that Mormons wear these as a sign of their devotion - because they sure aren't wearing them for comfort or style.
