Morning Erections

I was just wondering what everyone's experiences are with morning wood. Hmm....wait a minute.....that's a great name for a band. Let's see....."Mourning Would". Yeah, that's it. Ooops...sorry, I digress.

Anyway, since I grew up pre-internet, I could only assume that whatever my dick did, everyone's did. The only source of alternate info was friends, and most of the ones I talked to got morning hard-ons. So does everyone wake up hard, and what differences, if any, do you notice with those erections versus those induced by sexual arousal?

For example, my morning hard-on is super stiff and it stays that way for a long time with no stimulation. There's another thread on the board that asks how long your dick stays hard when stimulation ceases and mine, in those cases, loses its angle quickly. But in the morning my hard-on is persistent as hell. I usually have to go sit on the toilet and bend it down into the bowl and force a pee to get rid of it.

Also, it's not a 'horny' hard-on as I rarely feel like sex in the AM. It's more a nuisance than anything.

Well, I wake up all hours of the night with wood in my shorts. If I am on my stomach, it is very uncomfortable. If I am on my back, it either sticks up or out and I have to get up and take a whiz before it will even think about going down. It is a very difficult thing to hide and most guys I know have had this happen to them. It seems to be a normal experience for the male penis. I don't think it is a sexual thing, just a morning hardon. I often get such hard erections in the morning that it hurts. I find it difficult to pee when I have an erection. I usually just stand there and try to relax and if someone sees it, I can't help it...

We always called these morning woods, piss hards because that was the explanation that was offered for there occurrence in medical sexuality reports. Something about a full bladder and the muscles that contract to keep you from peeing while you are asleep press against whatever must be pressed against to trap blood in the penis. Do you notice that you always need to pee desperately at the same time. Your shrinkage after peeing would suggest a correlation. Them's my thoughts and even at my age, have them all the time so it is a life long situation.

The worry will come if the night hardons stop happening. The penis requires fresh blood for nourishment and proper functioning. They occur long before the morning piss hardon, because it's nature's way of keeping the magic stick working. The full bladder captures the erection and keeps it in the hard condition longer.

I was wandering through this section because I always enjoy my man's morning woody...Anyway, I want to comment on the "piss hards" theory because I saw them all the time when my son was an infant. In fact, the rule was, if you pull off his diaper and he had a little woody...cover it quickly because HE IS ABOUT TO PEE. It was a guarenteed fire hose experience if I tried to swap diapers quickly. And I never got a surprise if he did not have a woody.

I was just going to say that! I wake up with a 8 inch stick in my undies every morning , but I don't have the slightest urge to jerk off.
Not to mention its EXTREAMLY annoying to try to hide it if you have visitors around

There certainly seems to be something to the "piss hard" theory. I wake up every day with a full on woody regardless of how badly I need to pee, and it doesn't go away until I do. That's the reason my first stop is the shower, as soon as I'm out of bed. With the ol' banana's upward curve there's no way in the world I can aim at the toilet, so the shower has to do double duty. A bit gross, I suppose, but what else can ya do?

Sometimes I wake up with one, and sometimes I don't. Usually after a night of sex I won't get a morning woody, but that's because I think he's just tired. Also... it seems if I go to bed late and wake up early I am less likely to have one as well, probably because I usually urinate before I go to bed, so the bladder doesn't get too full. The ones I do wake up with, however, you could hang from they're so hard.
