Why is it that I never wake with morning wood? I haven't since my late teens or early 20's. I do however get an erection with in about 10 min of waking up. Is it because of my health as to why I dont wake up with wood? I have sleep apnea, and heart problems, and high blood pressure. Just wondering if this is all related.

Honestly I’m young (27) and don’t ever get morning wood. Sometimes semi but not full hard on. Tbh it concerns me. I can get hard if I play with it for a minute and when I do it gets very stiff. But I don’t get spontaneous erections. Should I be concerned? Are my hormones too low? Anyone else my age experience this? It could be a result of my back injury which I’m treating right now with PT and chiro. Any input is appreciated

You need some stimulation perhaps maybe a scenario like having a circle jerk with a few friends on the deck at the cottage with the girls watching to see who cums the most would get you hard in anticipation of that style of event...just sayin

I'm sure that's nothing to be concerned about. The penis should be getting erect periodically while you sleep, it usually does once every 90 minutes or so, but that can certainly vary.

I think that most people have an erection when they wake up because the erection is waking them up. I know I often wake up with an erection that is so hard that it aches and that is often what causes me to wake up.

I would guess that your sleep cycle is just resulting in you waking up before you get that periodic erection. You might get morning wood if you adjust your sleep schedule or stop engaging in any behavior that could affect your sleep then you might start waking up with an erection.

I don't think its necessary or anything to be concerned with. To be honest sometimes I'm annoyed that I'm woken up by my erection when I'd rather just get more sleep.

Rather than worry and ask strangers here about it, next time you see your doctor, please bring it up. It could be valuable information since you have cardiac and sleep issues. There's no need to be reserved about it, it's a bodily function and bringing it up may help you open up in other ways to your doctor.

There is so much individual difference in bodies. For instance in my mid-50s, I still have morning wood most days but have never in my life had a wet dream.

I hope you are able to speak to your doctor and that it's not an issue to worry about.

Really don't get them either other than when I do it's usually due to having to piss really bad other than being horny. Never really have since I'm simply just not a morning person in general. I'm too darn sleepy and never really enjoyed sex in the mornings.

The mornings are the time when I seem to be semi hard and pulsating for at least 4 hours unless I milk a load before I leave the house then I am back to a soft size ...I do milk it for sure if I am wearing tights in the mornings.. otherwise it’s just to noticeable

I'm in my late twenties, eat well, exercise regularly and overall healthy.

If I masturbate daily I generally don't get noticeable erections during my sleep. However, if I have been going without masturbating I will get several erections throughout the night, I know this because it usually wakes me up and I have to readjust my sleeping position.

I don't think it is anything to worry about, as long as you are capable of getting aroused you should be fine.

I do know that if I am working a lot, very active and just overall busy I generally don't have much of a sexual drive. Also, some of this is psychological, when I'm actually going out on a date or interacting with women I generally have a much higher sex drive. On the flip side, when I'm never around any women or interacting with them, which my life is like for the vast majority of the time, it will be far more suppressed.

Im 50 and i wake up periodically throughout most nights, often with an erection (a few times a week), occasionally I wake up in the morning hard (once, twice, maybe three times a week sometimes). Not sure if thats healthy or not, have never really worried about it one way or the other though.
