Welcome to the Dollhouse was entertaining enough, but really confused me. Just so fucking odd.

Dark comedies in general are pretty bizarre.

Gentlemen Broncos is also incredibly fucking strange. Tends to be hit-or-miss with people. Total miss for me. There's only so much nonsense one can handle.

I think Grey Gardens is a must see for everyone. It is just so influential in so many areas of art and what is now reality TV. I love the characters...they are odd and wonderful. Enjoyed the Drew B movie last year too

These are some of the most disturbing I've seen:

Salo (1975) - Ahhh Salo. It's a classic.
Irreversible (2002) - the 10 minute rape scene *shudder*
Dumplings (2003) - it's just a messed up theme
Men Behind the Sun (1988) - frightening look at reality
August Underground’s Mordum - you just know people are out there doing things like this
Visitor Q (2001) - f**ked up
Strange Circus (2005)
I Spit on Your Grave
Antichrist
Human Centipede
Storytelling
Palindromes

Then you have the usual Cannibal Holocaust, Happiness, Clockwork Orange, Kids, Oldboy, Audition.........................

I liked the movie Freaks (1932). Not so much disturbing as much as bizarre. Gummo (1997) was a little messed up. I agree with the postee who said Harmony Korine movies...love 'em.

Hmm! I don't know about I Spit on Your Grave- it was very graphic and had a cool sense of revenge I never thought possible in movies.

Now for another one that was too fucked up for words, how about- Killer Klowns from outer space?

taking tiger mountain (1983) with bill paxton might be in the running.

Existential post-apocalypse films are few and far between, and this is one of the strangest and most complex. It has a loose, and yet somehow calculated purpose and direction, and I can only report that it was worth the effort of tracking it down and watching it. The script is by Huckabee and Kent Smith, and William S. Burroughs contributed to the story.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Mulholland Drive.

A must see, I think.

pi, is a pretty fantastic movie... starts to make you feel like you're loosing your mind.

Wasn't a big fan of momento....

The Machinist... I would marry Christian Bale for the extremes he went to on this movie. Even the music is bizarre.

I LOVE weird movies!!! My favorite weird movie is The Forbiden Zone. It's by Richard Elfman, and features The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo! And Danny Elfman is even there as Satan. This is the coolest artsy movie, I soooo recommend it. Also anything by Terry Gilliam of Monty Python. What a weirdo, I love him!

The Forbidden Zone! I was about to mention that one! Very weird, and fun to watch for its weirdness!

I realize that I'm distinctly in the minority, but I thought Inception was a silly piece of crap, basically a way-too-long, boring chase movie with a poorly developed, nonsensical plot. Great flick for teenage boys with low IQs.
