Most Catholic guys circumcised?

After 12 pages, the definitive answer is that circumcision is based on nothing with the Roman Catholic religion. It all depends on where you are in the world and the standards, at the time, on whether RCs are cut. In North America, in the 50s through to the 70s, probably 80% were getting cut. Nowadays it's probably the reverse. The only religions I know, that subscribe to circumcision, are Jewish and Muslim. Europe was never big on it...not sure of other continents.

Nope Christians and catholic adopted the baptism so avoid circumcision it’s even in the Bible to not do it. I’m an atheist so it’s has no impact on my life but yah.

Just an interesting fact: I once knew a catholic guy who’s foreskin only covered part of his head. Everyone took the piss that he was circumcised and was that because of his religion. The thing was we were only about 10 at the time, a few years later a few of us had short foreskins, but he was the only one at that age.

No that was not because of his religion. The catholic religion does not take a stand, either way, on circumcision.

Yeah I know that, but it was the UK before the internet and we didn’t know anyone who had their head exposed. We just knew that some religions had circumcision.

Pretty much the only Roman Catholics who are circumcised are Filipinos and those from the U.S., and in both cases it's for cultural reasons rather than religious.

In 47 born n raised in IL was raised Catholic. Im circumcised and was born at a Catolic hospital. However my circumcision is high and loose and was done by plastibell. Don't know if being born at a Catholic hospital and being cut loose with a plastibell has anything connection
