What are the most dangerous States in the US to live in. What are the most safest.

Why do you think there's many States that are dangerous. It doesn't seem like crimes being controlled properly. There are other countries outside the United States that barely have any crimes. Do you think that will change and the US will be safer.

Are there many US states that are so dangerous? I was under the impression that, despite the rubbish on the news, no US state was remotely close to having a murder rate like Afghanistan or Syria and risk of living in the US is about average for the planet...

Most Dangerous Countries in the World 2021

When it comes to US states, New Mexico tops this list which, cleverly, takes into account industrial accidents and traffic deaths, rather than just murders.

Admittedly St. Louis makes this list at #13...

I've been to some terrible places and never had any trouble - San Salvador was the one place I felt really uneasy tho', razor wire everywhere, metal detectors to go into shops and on buses, lots of people tooled up and mean looking with it. Made Baltimor look like a walk in the park :)

There is risk and there is the perception of risk. So long as you're not behaving like an idiot, ie walking in dark areas you don't know or wandering about flashing cash, there's no reason you should come to grief.
