i wish you all the best,my step-father(really my father, he rasied me since i was six yrs old)died of kidney disease 3 yrs ago at 53.it sucked to see him just fade away. my advice is to spend every moment you can with your mom. that's what i did with my dad.we already had a great relationship any way.my younger brother(his biological son) and my mom still have trouble dealing with it.i sometimes i do to. i miss him so much.but he told me everything he wanted me to do for myself as well as the family.
it's even hard for his friends to talk to me or my brother,he touched alot of people in his time on earth(over 80 people were turned away at his funeral service,it was soooo crowded)

That's good to hear Dolf. I hope it all continues to go well for her. She may not live long and prosper, but that doesn't mean she can't enjoy life to the fullest within the boundaries of dialysis.
