When I think of pretty much any remake I don't have fond memories. The only remakes which were any good (off the top of my head) are:

The Fly (1986)
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978)
The Thomas Crown Affair (1999)
Evil Dead 2 (1987)
Dracula (1992)
The Thing (1982)
Cape Fear (1991)

I also enjoyed "Dawn of the Dead" (2004) but this was by any means better than the original (the original is a hugely important, incredible movie) but it was very enjoyable for it's own reasons.

The very worst for me personally, include:

Psycho (1998)
The Invasion (2007 - Remake of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers")
The Stepford Wives (2004)
The Women (2008)
Poseidon (2006 - Remake of "The Poseidon Adventure")
Get Carter (2000)
Alfie (2004)
Friday 13th / Texas Chainsaw Massacre etc etc (Various)
The Omen (2006)

I could go on....!

I seriously wondered why "willy wonka" aka "Charlie and the chocolate factory" was remade....another reason for Depp to donn another wacky wig?

leave us our memories, please?

The Avengers Movie comes to mind...why?

(the 'big screen' version of the A-Team.....again, why?)

Not sure if this counts, but I didn't enjoy Burton's Alice in Wonderland at all.

I thought it was OK, but I was really hoping for it to be as dark as Burton's usual stuff. Then again, this was a Disney remake so it couldn't have been that twisted. There's supposed to be hours of extra footage on the DVD/Blu-Ray set that came out earlier. Perhaps that has some scenes that would make the film more enjoyable for the big kids?

How about the Godzilla remake with Matthew Broderick.....that has to count as one of the worst so far, correct?
