Right so Wes can be a dick, He didn't do anything racist. If people EVER challenge DaVonne on any of her bs she calls them racist. Its offensive to people that suffer real, existing, rampant racism that occurs in the US. It diminishes and hurts real progress and opening peoples eyes to the countries systemic racist policies and history. Hurting DaVonne's pride isn't a racist problem.
You can challenge someone without being a dick or racist. You can also not like someone without letting it taint your perception of a situation.
And despite liking Wes(definitely over Bananas) what he did to Davonne was extremely harmful and ironically proves your point of how systemic racism comes to play. It wasn't just the fact that people were calling her job to get her fired and her child taken away from her. Him making a tweet joking that he didn't press charges because she apologized to him off camera insinuated that she's a criminal. And if the allegations of some of the producers trying to get her to admit fault for saying something that the tape later showed she didn't shows a bias. Sure we can say he's a fan favorite and it has nothing to do with race.Same thing with the comments Bananas and Vince were making towards Cheyenne on Rivals 3.
But let's consider for a moment that this came to light last summer during the protests. Dee was PERMANENTLY banned from the show due to ignorant comments she made on twitter, you think people would look at Wes' actions as "just being a dick?"
Please don't talk about "real racism", and "systemic racism" only to lack any sort of empathy or consideration on the basis of you not liking the person.
And I can end this by saying that there are things about Davonne that I don't like. I think she does a disservice to herself when she says that she peeps people being shady but still allows herself to be victimized by their behavior like she did on BB22. That doesn't take away from what Wes actions on WOTW1 or some of the producers behavior after the fact.
