My short stint on a track with an Aus muscle car. This was nearly 10 years ago. I had not been on this track before, was a gift given to me on my birthday back then, bit of fun for an old fella :). Used to own a couple of oldies when I was younger...Mopars mainly. 318 was my favourite. We only just starts making the 4speed for it back in the seventies. The one in the vid was a Holden Commodore...the ones I passed were Fords :) The only Aussie Ford I like is the Landau....bit rare these days...

Have photos of the old girl here somewhere, but this was one of mine, built for speed at the front...and other stuff in the back :) :).

Mach 1 , 3 Z28s.

They were all fun but the favorite I think would be the 6-speed Z28.

:drive::burnout:

I like the reborn Camaro, it faithfully pays homage to the original '60s car, at least in appearance.

Yenko Camaro 427

"In 1967 Don Yenko ordered L-78 equipped SS Camaros and swapped in the Chevrolet Corvette's L-72 427 in³ (7.0 L) V8. The cars came with a 4.10 rear end and heavy-duty suspension. The exact number of cars produced is not known; most estimates are around 50. Yenko also installed a fiberglass replacement hood similar to the "Stinger" hood featured on 1967 big-block Corvettes."

2000 Camaro SS. Built 408 stroker, 300 shot, ~1000rwhp
2004 Corvette Z06. 370 Stroker, twin T4 turbos, Haven't dynoed it yet, expect ~800rwhp.
1996 Viper GTS. Heffner TT kit (twin 76mm turbos, 510 stroker) ~1600rwhp on race gas.

Past cars:

1970 Chevelle
1969 Camaro SS
1989 Trans Am (Quickest car I've owned, yet)
2004 Mustang SVT Cobra.
1966 Bonneville Coupe.

Glad I'm not the only gearhead on this forum. Any questions, just ask away.:biggrin1:

Never owned but idolized .. friends w/access to GMC 70's cars,
any Vettes, Hurst Olds 442 and TransAM - GOATs - Camaros-
Most memorable being late nite ride in Central TX in a '68- orig. Z28,
running with a 4.10 rear end and heavy-duty suspension.
> speedo @ 140+ mph - Tach bouncing @ 9k+ on small block 307 ?
As the '90's truck commercial said- ' Chevy Like a Rock"
