Oh Finally a thread for us car guys!
I have so many favorites. A few currently in the works.

Mine and yours both.
Either that or included is the 1977 Pontiac Trans Am with the 400 cubic inch/6.6 liter valve meat eating V8.
Check it, bro:Car Lust: 1977 Pontiac Trans Am SE

The 78 TA was a bit better. Still had the honeycomb front end, but had updated suspention. My dream car.
I eventually dream to have one some day.

Here's one of mine.

Would've been quite appropriate, I think.

Needless to say, GM had some difficulties selling them there.

My fav US style muscle: '71 Super Charged Dodge Challenger:

Hmm, well different strokes for different folks. Personally, I like the '77 better- Nice black with gold trim.

Challengers are cool. The closest I've got to them though, is on Gran Turismo. :frown1:

New one looks very similar.

It does, indeed. But it's too high off the ground and rather squat. The "magic" of the Challenger's styling was how much bigger it looked on the outside than its cramped interior proved to be: the trunk was enormous and the hood went on for days

Of course, leave it to my mother to have a "family car" which couldn't fit the entire family

first new car: candy apple red 1967 Ford Fairlane GTA 390 cid 750 cfm Holley 4 bbl and C-6 Cruise-o-matic. remember Firestone Wide Ovals?

next: acapulco blue/gold reflective stripe 1969 Mustang Mach I 351 cid Cleveland (had a built-in fatal flaw) automatic. was the first Mach I in a long series of Mustangs.

by then the muscle car era was dying. later owned a built-in-Germany 1973 Mercury Capri V-6 four speed... a dream to drive!

I liked that year Fairlane, also the fullsize Ford of that year with the fastback styling! But I loved the Chevys of that year with the rounded styling! Like in this poster from the GMPhoto Store (sadly missing the Corvair, which I like the styling of):

1967 Chevrolet Models-GM PhotoStore

Back in the day! Look at the people in the cars wearing suits/ties and dresses!

My Mach1 had the 351-4V CJ, C6 with factory high stall converter, and what a gas hog 13 MPG highway, and that was when the speed limit was 55 MPH! Fatal flaw the oiling system? Ford seemed to do that with more than one engine family, sending oil to the main bearings last doesn't sound like a better idea to me!

The "sexy europeon" Capris were nice. It was between the Capri, and a 68 Cougar XR-7 as my first car, but got the Mustang instead.

They're not bad. Quite fun to drive due to low-gearing and stiff suspension. :p

I liked the European Capris too. ;) Not strictly muscle tho, I guess. I think the largest capacity was 3.0?

As I remember, we had 1971-74 Capri I with 2.6 V-6, and 1976-77 Capri II with 2.8 V-6. After that, they were a Mustang offshoot, and later from Australia. As for a muscle car, in the 70's, a four speed V-6 Capri was fairly quick, at least in a 0-60 run.

I'm quit smitten by the new Camaro SS. I sat in one and boy it's like being transported back to the 60's. I couldn't get out of it. Viability must be poor but boy is she charming on the inside.

LOL! A Mazda 3.

Opt for the MazdaSpeed 3 though :biggrin1: That one MotorTrend called 'Dropping A Bomb On The Competition'.
