When you have a younger brother...high-school teacher that has entered competitions and body built from 16. Entering Mr Natural Universe comps tell me what it does to your body. He still lifts, but ankles, wrists, knee...all joints, tendons are not able to compensate when you scale down muscle as you become older.You're entitled to your very one sided, boring opinion
I don't agree with you about the aesthetics of heavily muscled bodies, but I do agree about the wear and tear as someone who's now 50 and is in pretty much constant pain from all the heavy lifting as a young man.
