I'm fairly petite, but I've used pilates for close to 12 years , I guess. It does help build strength but it's also good for definition. Helps to lift areas you want to lift, tho there are right and wrong ways to work out.

You can avoid or help heal things such as ruptured disc with the right exercise. Then there's the vascular system. Affects the heart, but also blood flow to the penis.
