I'm kind of an 80's nutball, so Phil Collin's "Against All Odds, aka(Take a look at me now)" gets me sometimes.
That and "Unchained Melody",
And Cyndi Laupers'"Time after time"
Oh yeah, and damn my sister for getting me hooked on this one by Boy George-:"Make Mistake Number Three"

*sniffle* ya'll really reminded me of some good crying material....so of course I just had to go listen to the songs!!!
And 9/11- gosh, all the tribute songs and stuff just tear me apart.
Ive been doing the Whitney Houston "one moment in time" and Mariah Carey and Sinead O'Connor(The state Im in) and yes, some Phil Collins,(Cant stop loving you) Sting.(Fields of Gold) I cant believe how many songs seem to just fit the way I feel..... but yes, SP- I DO feel better now!! you got it right, thats exactly what I do.

However I am glad to know I am not an anomaly, thats one less thing to cry about.
I'm pleasantly surprised about you straight guys a little- other than musicians Ive worked with, Ive not had much experience with guys who actually listen to the lyrics.....or at least not many who admit to it.
hmmm.
anyway thanks for your replies. It was great finding some other music I hadnt thought of, that I can add to my list.

I usually don't cry from music, but there are a few songs that really make me. Billy Joel's Leningrad for example, everytime I hear it. Susie Steven's Take me round again just the same, just that I hear it less often. Gordon Lightfoot's If you could read my mind.

It is no anomaly, Sassy, but I think it's a subject that nobody really wants to talk about publicly.
