I play jazz guitar in my spare time up here in Canada. It's really hot! Anybody else like real jazz?

Ah....

Now that is a discussion that could take for days and cause many a bruised feeling. I think it really depends upon who you are talking to and with .There are as always purists who will insist that later forms are not the real true jazz, but since one of the cornerstones of Jazz is improvisation, I think the continuous morphing of the form is quite appropos.

orionsword57: Would any of you believe there's a person who listens almost exclusively to barbershop singing? I have sung and aranged this kind of Americana for many years.

I like everything, but I LOVE ska the most. I was raised that like, you shouldn't judge a whole genre, you should like music based on the band/group/artist.

My music collection is bizarre as hell. There's everything in there from bubble gum to hard rock to disco to country.

John Denver - can't ever drive into WV without "Take Me Home Country Roads" swimming in my head.

Patsy Cline

Led Zeppelin - "In The Evening" is one I always liked to listen to if I was feeling rowdy.

Enya - very relaxing

Backstreet Boys - Yeh its cheesy, but I want Kevin Richardson. I want it thataway. Ice blue eyes and black hair send me into outer space. Nuff said. :)

The Cure - "Friday, I'm In Love" always puts me in a good mood.

Procol Harum - "A Whiter Shade Of Pale" is one of my favorites of all time.

Donna Summer - MacArthur Park. First song I ever enjoyed dancing to.

Beatles - not much they did I don't like.

Carpenters - "Superstar". Makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

The Notre Dame Glee Club - Yes I have an album by them and its awesome. Acapella (sp?) choirs send chills up my spine, especially in person.

Goo Goo Dolls - "Jumper" is sad. But my fave by this group.

Stevie Wonder - My Cheri Amore. Love that song.

Kenny Wayne Shepherd - Bought the CD just for "Blue on Black". Great tune.

Sound Explosion - A K-Tel album I still have from 1975 I got as a kid. (shuddering - yes I was an uncool child and aint much better as an adult
...haha)

Could go on for days. Will spare yall. Rich.
