I don't know why you wern't given anti swelling meds pre-op. When I was given meds day before the surgery, I was curious to know what the meds were for. The nurse said they were for post-op swelling.
I'm thinking my circ was done in 1978.hmmmmm.... i don't recall those being available to me. Wish I had known, but then again, I was done back in 1974 ; perhaps not as readily available
Did your doctor schedule a check up after your surgery?Day 7, All the shaft bruising has gone, and pretty much no lower shaft swelling, however near the cut site, one side still quite swollen, plus at least two of the stiches have certainly failed (CI018), however the cut area is not gaping open etc, and as I have noticed in my boxers, think this is where the Lymphatic fluid from the main swelling, is draining via this, but will have to keep a close watch on this.

Nope, but got contact details if there's any concerns, plus got access to an ex army paramedic if needs be.Did your doctor schedule a check up after your surgery?
Yep, had the same when I had my frenuoplastyThat is looking okay in comparison to what I went through ........ and I had a stitch failure.
Keep us posted - thanks
the itching means it is healing .... goodDay 10, pretty much all the stitches have gone, and the cut area swelling has dropped quite a bit.
Problem today for me, was I was at a Union conference in Leicester, and it was itching like hell.
Yup - itching was the worst I experienced! Could be a bit awkward at times ...Day 10, pretty much all the stitches have gone, and the cut area swelling has dropped quite a bit.

21 days / week 3.
Following up from my post Friday and some good news (Image 029)..... A lot of the signs of the infection and swelling have calmed down a lot, which is a relief.... the antibiotics are deffo working, as I no longer have the burning sensation like someone had tipped a truck battery over my crotch, and I'm able to use a larger PA ring than at the start of the issues, though swelling has not calmed down enough yet to use my big Horseshoe ring yet.
Also the area where the stiches failed early, the two cut lines are starting to meet up on their own, so I think now at worst, I may need a bit of glue to keep the edges together long enough, so proper heeling takes place
One again, I'd like to state any procedure like this, can carry risk, and one of the most common, is stiches failing earlier than expected (You can get the same issues with the glue method too), however being on the ball and on top of things, the risk is minimal.
In hindsight, I should have got this checked out the moment the stiches started to fail as early as they did, so was a mistake I made.
I think the doctor should have scheduled a post op examination to see that there were no problems.21 days / week 3.
