This is not a sicko freak bestiality fantasy post. This is real.

My dog is 8 months old. He got neutered when he was about 4 months old. All the sudden within the last week he's started humping me! And if I put my arms down to where he can get to them, he'll grab them and try to push them under his belly and it seems like he wants me to touch his dick. Again, this is NOT a pervert fantasy post. I'm NOT into this.

Why is he doing this to me? Why wont he stop?

It is dominance behaviour. He's dominating you. You have to be pack leader. I'm not going to try to tell you how to do it. Much better you watch a TV programme called The Dog Whisperer, in which Cesar Milan shows people how to overcome problems like this with their dogs.

edit: Cesar also has a website. I just looked it up. http://www.cesarsway.com/

One old standby is to gently (not too hard - you don't need or want to hurt him)step on one of his hind feet any time he mounts your leg. He will get down immediately and eventually will stop mounting you.

You need to walk with him some more..its about releasing energy..he has too much of it..so probably you aren't walking with him enough..

Its not about him wanting to sex you up..

Wait it out. For many younger canines, humping is part of a developmental phase that's fueled by hormonal changes and plain old growth. Both male and female dogs exhibit humping behavior since mounting is a natural sign of dominance assertion with canines. Keep the dog away from guests for 2 months to see if the behavior passes.

Take the dog out. In most cases, humping results from stress or aggression, especially if the dog has contact with other canines. Take your dog out for at least one long, strenuous walk and play time each day. Set aside enough time for the dog to tire before you stop the exercise session. This will help release his aggression and alleviate his stress.

Consider neutering. Male dogs that hump may have increased testosterone levels. Studies have found that neutering stops humping in 60 percent of the cases.

See the vet. In some cases, humping is caused by hormone imbalances that may indicate serious conditions, such as hypothyroidism. If this doesn't work then your next stop is a canine behavioral specialist, who can train the dog to stop the behavior.

swaloe, the op said his dog has been neutered. I agree with you about making sure you exercise the dog, but I think it's dominance behaviour in this case. It sounds like the op is letting the dog do as it likes, and he feels powerless to resist the dog's grabbing and humping him. You shouldn't be letting the dog get that far. Push him away and firmly say 'No', and mean it. If necessary (and it probably is necessary in this case) you have to properly exert your dominance over the animal by forcing him into a submissive position (hold him down to the ground) and don't let him up until he assumes a state of calm submission. Then, do NOT let him jump up, or push you around in any way. But look, don't take my word for it. Look at The Dog Whisperer. It's all there and made very easy to understand.

I agee that the dog is likely trying to dominate. When my dog tried to dominate me, what worked for me was to teach her a command meant to calm her instantly. In my case, I offer the back of my hand, and say "Touch!". She knows to touch with her nose, and sit to await my next command. You could try something similar, but you can't teach while being dominated. Teach during playtime. Practice before doing something he likes, like going outside or eating. My dog must perform every command she knows before getting a crumb out us. It works at my house. Your mileage may vary. Definitely watch the Dog Whisperer, and It's Me or the Dog! Cesar and Victoria know what's up.

You DO know that Cesar Milan is not dog god, right? He doesn't always know everything. Just show the dog who's in charge.

Knock him across the room and show him who the alpha dog really is.

I DO hope you're joking, right ? Because this is NOT an acceptable way to break him of this habit.

Also, a shock collar isn't necessary. A firm "NO! BAD BOY" is all that's necessary. The local pet supply store also sells a bitter apple spray. Get some. When he starts humping on you, use the "No, bad boy" and spray this stuff in his mouth. I guarantee it will keep him from doing it. Also, be sure he gets plenty of exercise and has bones or rawhide chews to occupy him.

Yes I DO know that he's not dog god, and I don't have anything to do with his enterprise. But I do know that it's a good place to start, and I don't know the names of any other dog experts. Feel free to drop the names of your own dog gods.

He is remembering when he was a puppy and you coated your balls and asshole in Peanut Butter and let him lick it off.

He is trying to rekindle the romance.
