Ok, I recently replied to another thread regarding doctors.

Set me thinking: do you prefer a male or female doctor?

Does it depend on what the proceedure is likely to be, whether you may need to undress, whether you may need to talk about intimate matters, etc.?

Or does the sex of the doctor have no bearing at all?

I'll nail my colours to the mast. I (perhaps unusually) as a gay man prefer to see a male doctor.

Just wondered what people thought... let me know.

I prefer a male doctor looking (examining) my cock, balls, etc, I just believe his having his like equipment makes him more appealing to me and him more considerate of mine.

I have a male M.D. and a female dermatologist. They both look me over entirely, and It's fine with me. Although she doesn't do more than look, unlike the MD. who probes me yearly. (grimace)

For routine medical attention I much prefer female doctors, nurses and dentists. I believe the balanced (left half/right half) brain of a woman is better suited to the inexact science of medicine. Women also tend to be more communicative and empathetic than men. I have a female personal care physician, opthalmologist, dermatologist and dentist and I really trust them explicitly. When choosing a specialist I'll go for the best qualified doctor I can find, regardless of gender, but if the available best includes both genders I'll again go with the female.

I have a male GP who I feel comfortable talking about anything with. He is older and has great bedside manners. Certain things I feel more at ease with talking to a male doctor especially anything concerning down below.
The only medical profession that I prefer women is strictly as my nurse more compassionate gentle with needles and such and if I need a sponge bath I only want a female doing that

All of my Dr's are male, either by choice or happenstance. FOR a gp i prefer a male as I am more comfortable. Everyone else doesn't really matter to me just worked out that they are all men.

In my head I say to myself that I don't have a preference, but I've never had a female doctor.

I think I prefer female physicians because they tend to be more compassionate whereas male doctors are generally more clinical, so I find it easier to talk to female doctors about more things. There are benefits to both styles, though. Years ago, I had a girlfriend who also preferred male doctors specifically because they she said they are more clinical and she believed that made them more competent.
