My Night on the Town with a Member from LPSG.

Last night I met Bbucko and we had a fun night out on the town in Wilton Manors/Fort Lauderdale. We met for pizza at Humpy's. :wink: This was around 8 PM, the pizza was very good, the best I've had in Florida and the slices were huge. They were double slices, 4 per larger pie. We spoke a lot over pizza. We had spoken on the phone earlier in the day to set this up.

We then went to a nearby bar for a drink. They had $3 Long Island Ices Tea specials and they were huge and strong. They were served in these jars that must have been a quart. We each had two. Then we walked around and went to a club in the same strip mall. It was a bar/club with a small dance floor and a second level overlooking it. We didn't stay long and then we went across the street to check out the other bar. We looked around but didn't stay there long either.

We then drove to a leather bar and I got to meet a few of his friends. The place had good music and a cool outside patio. They had a big dick contest, Bucko did not enter, he would have won. The only thing that sucked is that they were not allowed to show full nudity on stage, but the contest was fun. We ended staying there til about 2 AM and then I drove Bucko home. We had a great time.

They have the best pizza. It is NY style as the taller co-owner is from there originally.

Sounds like you had drinks at George's Alibi (they have the big Long Island's on Thursdays) and danced at Boom. Bill's Filling Station (across the street now) has "Growl" on Fridays and is usually packed. You should have told me you were headed down, I would have connected you with our larger circle of friends and family in the LaDiDa area.

I just saw this <slaps forehead>. Sometimes a PM helps, y'know :redface:

I was really surprised by how shy Mem is; I wouldn't have expected it. I, of course, am not shy at all, so I had mucho fun pulling him out of his shell.

I was also kinda surprised that, with all the nightlife possibilities down here, he hadn't at least gone exploring before. As Lex surmised, after pizza at Humpy's, we did a mini pubcrawl starting at the Alibi, the Boom, then Bill's Filling Station. I would have been fine walking, but as Mem had a car and prefered to drive, we skipped Sidelines (a yawntacular "sports bar" that's inexplicably always busy) and proceeded to the Ramrod.

As I used to work at the Ramrod, I gave him an especially insightful insider's tour (this is Daddy Alley, this is where you can sneak in a quick BJ, etc :wink and tried to introduce him to some of the guys I know well and like.

We eventually ended up on the patio out back. It was a near-perfect night: not too humid, no "chilly" wind, etc. By that time, it was pretty much like holding court as so many guys I knew wandered past.

I'm really glad he had such a good time, as I wasn't entirely certain at the time. It's easy to mistake his shyness for unenthusiasm, especially at the Ramrod, where the standard greeting starts with a titty-tug and grope. After having started with several 1/2 liter Long Island Iced Teas, I was certainly...how you say...gregarious

Mem's really very sweet (and so much taller than I expected). We really are about as different in temperment and physical scale as two guys can be (I'm a total shrimp standing next to him), but I'm hardly one to segregate myself socially. I'd do it again in a heartbeat, maybe with a somewhat nicer food option next time, though.

And, of course, I never seem to have enough occasion to step out. Anyone down this way (or planning some r&r in the warmth and sun) is more than welcome to contact me for similar hijinx.

Make sure to get rest on the plane so we can go out Thursday July 9 and get the $3 L.I.I.T. at Alibi and then head to the Ramrod.
