Buckle up...it's a long one. I thought I would tell this story even though the vast majority of gay guys who follow hot male OnlyFans stars are a little more realistic and less "emotional" regarding their fandom.

I first joined OnlyFans to follow a particularly hot guy I followed on Instagram. Of course, at first I followed him and others solely for the exclusive content. I soon got bored and a bit dismayed that a lot of the content I was purchasing or paying a subscription fee for was being leaked by other paying customers who apparently leave the keys in their unlocked cars to let their neighbors go on joy rides, lol. This paired with some of OF's early technical issues, led me to stop subscribing.

I eventually came back due to another hot Instaguy who was actually gay. And introduced a whole new level of OF for me. Not only was the guy smoking hot; but he was highly responsive. I became a regular tipper and in fact, I would sometimes get random, unprompted messages from him relative to our conversations. It was a hell of an experience and I would recommend following this guy; even though I decided to no longer do so. He'll be the only name I mention because it was a positive experience: Reno Gold.

Moving on to true simp territory...I began following a very hot, straight model from Europe. He didn't have many followers and in the beginning, NEVER posted a nude and in fact some of his more sexy photos; he didn't include his face. Fast forward, I purchased multiple videos from this guy for over $100 each. And in fact, participated in an EBay auction for another more exclusive bid. I ended up winning because a "mystery" bidder who had been responsible for jacking the bid into astronomical territory couldn't pay for the vid. I have my suspisions; but can't prove anything. But I think you know where I'm going. Later, this model decides they are going to REALLY take OnlyFans seriously and begins posting progressively more and more racy content until it ultimately culminates with them not only showing their face in their nudes; but providing more explicit content on their feed rather than charging for it and what content is charged for is at a significantly reduced rate compared to what I and I imagine only a handful of other people where paying. And those older videos? Also now available for peanuts compared to what I paid; including...you guessed it...the video I won via Ebay auction. I would have chalked this up to lesson learned; but the problem was I had actually began to really get to know the guy and we had become friends. As far as he is concerned, we still very much are as I have never and will most likely not address this with him.

Another OF gay model I had become "close" to and who I not only exchanged several messages with on OF; but also Instagram; a lot of them more flirtatious and personal than anything I had ever sent to others, provided me with a lesson in humiliation. Right after I sent a tip and flirtatious message via an offsite payment method they preferred to use over the OF tip system, they sent me two video messages. Both of them where of them kissing a guy pretty hardcore. Ouch. I had never indicated that I wanted to see that kind of content and given the messages we had exchanged via our personal instas, I don't think I would be out of line by saying this was obviously not something I was looking forward to seeing. Now had this been a "Reno-level" guy, I would just call myself a moron. This guy has maybe 6-10 likes on their content max and rarely posts. I think due to the that and the messages, I let myself believe there could be something more.

I've got a few more tales, but these are the ones that stand to allow me to make my point. Being what amounts to as an OnlyFans simp does not only give creators no real motivation to provide better content, fair rates, etc. It can also provide you with a significant level of humiliation and allow you to "get in your feelings." If you and a simp army are tipping someone who never shows nudes significant amounts; what incentive do they have for doing more than what they do everyday? And don't deceive yourself (disclaimer: I know a lot of you DON'T need to hear this and to you I say, good on ya',) this is about money. This is their job. Don't let yourself be seduced by your own imagination. Trust me, it's not worth it. I'm not some outrageously unattractive, old man with a micropenis, lol. As a black gay man I'm not considered in my area at the top tier of attractiveness. I've had the same experience curing my loneliness and desire for companionship in the real world when I was young and a LOT more fit in my 20s as I do now, a bit heavier and just over 40. I'm not putting that out there for racial or sympathy points, I put it out here for others like me, regardless of their race, size, etc., to let them know that OF is not the cure for your ills. Enjoy the content...then move on. Stop rewarding OF creators for irregular and lackluster content. At the end of the day, I make a pretty great living financially, so the financial aspect was not truly significant to me; but I realize because of that I was causing the problem I just mentioned. And I also realize that someone like me who doesn't have what I have may be bankrupting themselves to please someone that is truly indifferent to them (as maybe they should be.) I'm not a guy who opens up or knocks people down out of spite. I truly hope this provides that one person with the true, raw perspective that they need and keeps them from having similar experiences.

Most of the people giving them phony compliments and tips are doing so thinking it will give them incentive to do more, without knowing it actually does the opposite.

Indeed, it does the exact opposite. But so many are prepared to reward for even the smallest gesture thinking that it will lead to more. And the truth is...nope.

I remember following someone (straight) and they posted a video with a friend. They rubbed each other’s butt and chest while jerking off. The comments were astounding. “Wow you guys are pushing boundaries” “that was the hottest thing I have ever seen” I mean these must be some sheltered people if that’s true.

I support the message, and there isn't a racial sympathy point, its the reality of the gay community.

The gay community treats our peers of color, especially black and asian ones at a level of strict fetishization, at this point I don't really have the time or energy for people who don't acknowledge that reality, refuse to discuss it or entertain preference clowns, if anything it's benefit me because I've lost interest in the groups that have shunned me. I have no interest in being someones experiment or fantasy.

As far as the rest of the message, I'm sorry that you have felt lonely and felt this was the only resort.
I also have to say that expecting more than videos was the biggest mistake.
Sex work is that, sex work. Yes occasionally a love story may pop out, some companionship is involved but it is merely an exchange of services for money.
They aren't doing a favor to you. its a subscription, they have to earn your continued subscription.

I also think going off site or paying additional money is simply a scam. The old way was seeing a dude on twitter selling a pack of videos for a price. I can't believe people really are paying money to subscribe to simply have access to dms to be asked for more money for non custom content.

So true. It'd be akin to going to the movies and having to pay a ticket just to see the previews of other films you could pay to watch.

This is an interesting read. From the other side I can see some of the motivation - initially, charge enough to make it worthwhile producing the content, then as subscribers build reduce the cost to make it more accessible - and easier - to increase profit.

I have all this content, that all these people have never seen, what do I do with it? To delete it would be daft, so the sensible thing to do is price it to sell. Is it different to buying a car second hand? You'd pay through the nose at the dealer, but a good chunk less from a private seller at a year old or more.

As to the emotional side, it's awkward I suppose - as you say, it's a job - and not dissimilar to a stripper or escort, they (we/I?) pay you all the attention in the world until you stop paying, then move on to the next client, or up the ante and provide something that it's thought will incentivise you further. You could liken it to gambling or alcohol in a way, and the responsibility lies both with the consumer and the supplier.

I could say I'm different - and you'd roll your eyes - and rightfully so. I appreciate my subscribers, truly, and I want to provide content that satisfies them, encourages them to spend, feeds my ego and of course my income. I have no intention of milking anyone, nor do I have any intention of a relationship with anyone.

In fact, I genuinely wonder how to address the subject of my OF account when I start dating. I cannot imagine the jealousy or how to deal with it!

I do empathise, especially with the leaks and feeling close. As to the fair rates - I've just posted a question about exactly this.

Thanks, I tried to identify at least twice the folly of my mistake both in my emotional and financial judgment. The core of my message was not to justify my actions; but I think you took away something else from it. It was to openly identify my actions so that others who are on the "same road" so to speak might see this in themselves and just maybe veer away from it before they get to my point. So yes, I am well aware of what my mistakes were. And there are plenty of people would NEVER make the same mistakes/misjudgments. My message isn't really for them.

That being said, that portion of your message that identifies the mistake may also be helpful to someone, so thank you.

I have another story...way shorter. Non-simpy though; but it does speak to some of the bad business practices I've seen on OF. A OF content creator sent out a video for purchase, in the DMs of course. Later, they ended up posting the same video on their feed for no cost. Now for those who didn't purchase the video...great win! For those who did...total slap in the face.
