Sorry to hear that she passed.
She will still be with you no matter what.
I still dream of my old girl from when I got into the Navy and let my momma keep her. I still miss her. I think about her still.
Just know that your ROSE will not have any more pain.

man! I am so sorry ... I've been through this so many times, I know exactly what you're going through, and I wish there was something I could say or do to undo the pain

Hey Indy,
We were so sorry to hear that your beloved Rose was ill.
Mr Ed and I send our most healing prayers and thoughts to you and
hope you will feel better soon though nothing can replace the loss of your Rose.
Our deepest condolences go out to you and your partner.
We are sorry for your loss.
I know how awful it is for you having just gone through this myself.
C.B.:saevil: & Mr. Ed in Mass.

So sad all the pets we leave behind. All common pets are not very long-lived, compared to humans anyway. Elephant, chimpanzee, sea tortoise. I don't know what kind of pets those make. I don't think I'd want to try any of them. Are there any longer lived creatures that make better house pets?

Some breeds of the parrot family can live longer than humans I believe.

Just a suggestion, but every cat I've owned has been buried, upon its death, under a rose bush. Persian Yellows and Austrian Coppers seem to hold up well without much fuss and upkeep. They make big sprawling fountains of green that grow in difficult spots where most roses fail. At least that way you'll have the opportunity of knowing Rose is, well . . . coming up roses once a year.

Wishing you nothing but the best.
