Well, assuming this works, that's a copy of a hand-written messy-as-all-heck version of the poem I have tattooed on my back as of a week or so ago. Comments? :biggrin1:
hmmmm... I think that if you get that tattooed on your back.... well first off.. are you talking about a FULL back piece? or just on your shoulder or something?? I think getting script is cool, but I would not get it to look like scribbly writing.. IMHO it would look like something a tweeker gave you in a garage.. or even worse.. something you got in prison... but hey. thats just me... anywho... check out Yelp - Restaurant Reviews, Doctors, Bars, Salons, Dentists and More for good shops in your area.. and heather... are you crying cause you saw a small peen? oh wait, it would prolly make you sneeze cause you are 'allergic' to em. I designed these 2 tattoos to discretely show-off my endowment, I was thinking about getting them after I grew to 10" (25cm), just below my navel. Are they cool or tacky?
Sure.... I'll give you the Quenya first then the English translation, which isn't a very acurate translation, but it follows the rough idea. The problem with Quenya is that it's an agglutinative language--hard to translate to English which is particular. Sorry...I didn't mean to lose anyone there, but they're two different types of languages, and it's hard to go from one to the other without some loss in meaning. ANYWAYS. Namárië Ai! laurië lantar lassi súrinen, yéni únótimë ve rámar aldaron! Like gold fall the leaves, long years numberless as the wings of trees. The long years have passed like swift draughts of the sweet mead in lofty halls beyond the west, beneath the blue vaults of Varda where the stars tremble in the voice of her song, holy and queenly. ~~~ How shall refill the cup for me? ~~~ For the Kindler, Varda, queen of the stars, from Mount Everwhite has uplifted her hands like clouds and all the paths are drowned deep beneath shadow, and out of the grey country darkness lies on the foaming waves 'tween us and mist covers the jewels of Calacirya forever. ~~~ Farewell! Perhaps thou shalt find Valimar! Perhaps you shall find it! Farewell! And now to answer other posts: 1~ I already have it, it's a full-back tattoo 2~ I'm using this account, as the other one's name won't work in the chat 3~ That's just a copy of the poem in the Tengwar I made in about fifteen minutes with little care; the copy on me took much longer than that, was at a refutible place, and is in a caligraphic style--not ballpoint pen-style. 4~ Heather, that's one of the best tattoos ever. Wear it proud!
