Naked auditions

I am a filmmaker. It has always been my passion in life. I am always looking to try new things. And I think I would like to add a nude scene in my next film. But I have never done anything like that before. So I ask for some advice. How would I go about getting people to audition. Do I post flyers and mention they have to get naked? Do I ask random people from bars or clubs or what? I want to know everyones opinion. Thanks

If you have to post fliers or solicit 'actors' in bars, you are unlikely to inspire any serious actors (or directors or writers, or studios etc....)that you are not making a super low-rent porn. Basically I would say ask your close friends if you are desperate, or wait until you are better established to start doing nude scenes.

Also, it doesn't look amazing for an up and coming film-maker to have a portfolio of low budget movies with random chicks getting naked in them. Surely there are more compelling stories to tell that don't require nudity.....really, how often do you see nudity even in Hollywood movies? Rarely, and even then it causes a stir. Stay clear of that shit if you want to keep a good professional reputation. Just my humble opinion.

I think that you should cast your film as you would any other. When you whittle the list down to a select few, let them know that there is a scene requiring nudity and they can then decide if they remain interested. That is the proper way. The methods you suggest are putting the cart before the horse.

I think ya got some candidates that may be interested right here on LPSG and guess they can contact you independently to maintain the integrity of the forum. I would definitely agree to stay clear of bars and clubs if you want any quality participants in your film.

Legitimate audition notices that I've seen include a line stating that nudity is required, if indeed it is.

I was in a student film that involved some nudity, no full-frontal. It was a short but the basic premise was that two best buds have a night of debauchery and then wake up naked in bed together and need to figure out what has happened. It was filmed with us both naked in a bed, asses on film but not full-frontal stuff.
