1 - David Bowie
2 - D.H. Lawrence
3 - Ronald Reagan
4 - Margaret Thatcher
5 - Nikola Tesla
6 - Martin Luther King
7 - Bill Nelson
8 - Ian Hunter
9 - Stephen King
10 - Brian Eno

Great list Snakester, but you would have to keep Thatch and Ronnie on opposite sides of the table... as far away from each other as you could get em' lol! Stephen King and D.H. would have a bunch to talk about.

Eno and Tesla would soooooo hit it off.

Marge and Ronnie would be fascinated with MLK for sure...

But everyone would probably just wanna hear about Bowie's fascinating rock star life the most. His baritone voice is extremely enchanting.

Thatcher and Reagen got along very well. There wouldn't be a problem. They would in fact sit next to each other. Just a interesting mix of people i admire so much. People who will be remembered and admired and forever will hold a place in the history books. I could only pick 10. I wanted to put Bette Davis in there. However given the temper she had, i didn't want her to fuck up the party. LOL

Those would be cool - Nelson would want to bring that Emma Hamilton bird tho. And Einstein would bring loads of relatives, hehehe (geddit?). I forgot to invite George Bush, Amy Winehouse and Hitler. They'd all be sure to get the party started.

Madame de Pomps is a cool suggestion, Drifter (especially if she looks like the one out of the Dr. Who episode).

Snakey - I heard Maggie and Ronald Reagan got on really well. He'd be a great dinner guest; he used to thaw out frosty situations apparently, by telling gags and putting ppl at their ease. :)

I'm also tempted to invite loads of random, made up peeps, such as:

Wendy House
Victoria Wine
Beverley Hills
Neil Down
Phil McKracken
Glen Morangie
General Knowledge
Rachel Prejudice
Private Parts
and Corporal Punishment.

But I wont... :p

Mixing people from different times seems too random, so I'll pick one time period where all these people could have been at the same party, the mid-50s:

Frank Sinatra
Johnny Mercer
Judy Garland
Keely Smith
Ella Fitzgerald
Anita O'Day
Louis Armstrong
Peggy Lee
Sarah Vaughan
Cole Porter

(not in order of preference-- I sit next to Sarah and put Frank at the other end of the table.)

On edit, I must add this bizarre factoid from the Johnny Mercer latest bio: That Old Black Magic is a very specific anthem to Judy Garland's cocksucking skill. Listen to the words with that in mind-- icy fingers up and down my spine...then the elevator starts its ride etc.
