Oh, I remember Hotbot! I was living in Atlanta working at a large ad agency when our computer guy showed me how to find stuff on the web.

I wanted to show a supervisor something that I found, and instead of typing in Hotbot.com I typed in Hotbox.com. That is not a search engine!!!!

And I'm sitting there like "I don't understand. It's supposed to show something different."

He said "I certainly hope so."

Yahoo search isn’t technically a search engine. It’s or at least used to be, just an index. It wasn’t a crawler.
