It's about more than just nude or suggestive pictures. There is concern about minors having access to sexual content in general, so we should avoid certain situations, or at the very least, posting them in public space. Things like "I'm 16 and was just looking at pics in the gallery...", "I'm 15 and have a huge cock: wanna cam with me?", "I'm 14 and looking to hook up with a hung dude...", "I'm 17 and want to know where I can download video clips of Mandingo..." are bad ideas. Use common sense, guys. Also bad is asking for a link to a sexually explicit site and not even filling out the age info on your profile. If I can't find your age anywhere, I'm not about to point you in the direction of porn! (Aside note: please, go ahead and fill out your profile even if your not asking for age-sensitive material. It doesn't take long to do, and a lot of us use the profiles to quickly check out basic info.) The so-called 'religious right' is looking for any excuse to take away our house: don't hand them the ammunition!

Yes,

I subscribe to a free religious right daily publication jsut for the purpose of knowing what the political agenda is. I will start posting pertinent sections of it so members can know what is going on. The synopsis:

The religious right want to install legallly the Judeo-Christian values as devined by them, not by the Catholic or minaline Protestant Churches. For those who aren't Christian, there is a major, major difference. I can't make that point strong enough
The Roman Catholic Church and the mainline Protestant Churches only want to tell what they believe is moral. In general, they aren't trying to force laws on people. The fundie Christians are.

Here is a sample of what they want:

Complete control of the interent
1. No porn available period.
2. Nudity limited to Renaissance Art painted by people now dead for centuries
3. Any open gay activity made illegal. They aren't pushing that real hard right now, but it is in the on the agenda. Right now they aren't wanting to start monitoring bedrooms for "immoral activities" yet. But some of them have been elected to legislatures in the South and have introduced laws making sodomy illegal in states where it is legal, and some want to make any gay activity illegal.

4. They very much want to link gay and pydophile (wrong spelling I know) Research shows that most child molesters are straight in the adult world. But let's not let truth get into the way of an agenda here. If we can make gay and child molestation the same thing then is will make it easier to outlaw Gay activity or promotion of any kind.

5. Officially allow freedom of religion to non Christians with no discrimination allowed, but make JudeaoChristianity the cultural basic for our laws and morals.
6. Teach Christianity in the public schools as the historical religion of America.
7. Teach children in public schools that homosexuality is a sin and a disease.
8. Teach abstinance only in public schools. No mention of condoms. Certainly not abortion.

Our saving grace is that the real controlllers of the Republican party couldn't care less about the above. They are using the religoius right to get votes. They will give just enough to keep their votes as long as they need them.

Barry Goldwater would be just horrified to see what has happened to the Republican Party. Goldwater was a Jew and had no use of fundie Christianity.

The FCC is currently pushing to control the internet in the same way that they control TV and radio broadcasts. I wish I was wrong or joking, but it's true.

Actually, it's a little more complicated than the press put it. What he meant was that he set forth the motion to fund the internet. He didn't actually type out the Pascal while listening to some boring filibuster.
