You have seen the film? Pretty good.
Yes, I agree.

Several critics have pointed out historical inaccuracies and places where the screenwriters wielded a hefty dose of artistic license. I grew up through the era portrayed in that film, and I think the story is fascinating and compelling in its factual, unembellished form. In my mind, warping the story to fit Hollywood's idea of what SHOULD have happened is a dis-service to these ladies' achievements.

By the way - Did you know that in the early years of information systems and computer science (ca 1940 - 65), many women had roles as technical experts and innovators. (Well-known examples include Grace Hopper, Ingrid Daubechies, Maria Wedemeyer.) Today this is considered a very male-dominated field. What happened?

Yes we need more of this instead of credit decades later. I’m pleased to know the story of Mary W. Jackson, but I hope the next Mary Jackson doesn’t have to wait 50 years to get recognized.
Exactly!
