I watch the news every day, and we are being prepared for an incredibly difficult stretch of dire loss as we bottom out in a number of major US cities. I think this think will eventually hit everyone- soon. But for now I'm wondering if it wouldn't be appropriate to come together for some sort of time to unify in grief- either for someone you know, or in solidarity with those who have lost so much.
Folks in big cities are doing the daily cheering out their windows, and sharing group aerobics in the front yards, etc. Some are just binging continuous Netflix, to find escapism from the danger that lurks outside. What about a cathartic relief? China just held a whole day of mourning two days ago...
What about Good Friday? That seems pretty appropriate. Has anyone heard of anything wide being planned?
