Strictly adult nude beaches are getting much harder to find so beach etiquette is perhaps more important than ever. Often an erection is not a problem if you are not flaunting it . But whenever in doubt just cover it up with your towel until it subsides. Semi erections usually are not a problem anywhere with proper behavior for the location. Whether it’s a beach or a nudist club go and have fun, enjoy the freedom and the views but remember to take your sunscreen !

I really like the nude beachs and the resorts! The first time I went to one I went with my uncle when I was a senior in highschool. After that I met a guy at the gym who "knew of a place "

Turns out it was a gay campground. I went for it wore my wedding ring and made it clear I was there to enjoy the weekend.... Alone. I had a great time.

But give it up if your a single guy. The resorts wont have you and at the beach if you go alone you become one of "THOES" guys.....

Would be awesome to know a bud here in Alabama who is interested in it to go with.

Depends on the resort/campground. There are quite a few who allow single men. Look online at some directories and call ahead in advance. It helps if you're a member of either TNS (The Naturist Society) or AANR (American Asso. of Nude Recreation, formerly the ASA). Various clubs are affiliated with either one or both.

I always try to fit in some all-over tanning time when on a break. You can't beat the feel of letting it all hang out and going swimming nude is an amazing exprience. You wouldn't think something as small as a speedo could make that much difference, but it does.
If you get hard while on the beach, roll over, but make sure you've got plenty of sun screen on your butt. Also, don't make to much of a show of coating your bits. That's one thing that doesn't tend to go down too well on a beach. Nude hiking is great too, but watch out for brambles and gorse!
Apart from my local swimming group, I've never been to any of the clubs or resorts as a lot of them tend not to allow single men or male couples in. The beaches have always been enough for me anyway. Who needs nudist Nazis telling you what you can and can't do? They seem to have forgotten why most of the clubs were set up in the first place, to give people places where they could socialise naked without fear of persecution. And, to be totally honest, I've seen a hell of a lot of married guys behaving a lot worse than any single gay or straight guy, but the clubs tend to regard us as undesirables. Why not let people have trial periods rather than a blanket ban?
Some friends of mine have just bought a villa within 10 mins' walk of Cabopino beach near Málaga. I can see myself flying down to visit them a bit more often now.

Most of my vacations are naked vacations (except snow skiing)...saves tons of time packing! There is a book called "Naked Places" that outlines clothing optional resorts and nude beaches around the world

There are some very nice nude beaches in Florida - there should be with all that coast line. I've commented previously about the freedom and relaxation you get at a nude beach and highly recommend it whether you're a single guy or girl. If you practice a bit of decorum you'll be just fine.

I went to Hedonism in Jamaica back in 2000. I went with a very attractive women who agreed to go only because her engagement was recently broken off and she was fucked up a little.
The activities were okay, but we were a little disappointed in the beach. Most of the people there were in their 50's or older, and over half were overweight and unattractive. We were in our 20's and fit; and were hoping to meet more people in our age category. Maybe it was just that particular weekend - but I wouldn't go back (until I'm in my fifties..)

You're right about that. MOst nudist clubs/resorts tend to be near paranoid about single guys though single women generally get in without charge. (I always wondered why would they want a lot of single women if most of the patrons are "couples"? Makes you think, eh?)

And yes, while single guys get watched like hawks the "married" ones do all kinds of stuff. Doesn't matter though if all one is interested in is laying about in the buff. Let 'em watch yer ass.

lol. Has it occured to you that maybe that's what they did...wait half a lifetime to return? Or maybe someone can pass a law making it illegal for people over 30 to go nude... anyplace. That way you'd only have to deal with the overweight and unattractive people under 30.

Just saw this thread! What a nice thread!

I have never been to a nudist place outside of the USA.....but we....(my husband and I) are planning a trip to Bonaire....during Spring Break.....there is a place called Sorobon. We have friends who have been and reccomend it. The only thing I am nervous about is that I heard that it is a quiet place......back to nature......and they don't have places to go dancing or any kind of a nightlife. But it should be a nice relaxing place. And there is scubba diving and snorkeling. We will see how it goes.

I do have a suggestion for single males or male couples that want to get into landed nudist clubs here in the USA. The person that suggested joining AANR and TNS was right on the money.....There is more of a chance that the clubs will allow single males in if they are members of a national organization. The other thing you might consider is joining a travel or non landed club that doesn't have a male verses female ratio or quota. The non landed club I was associated with here in Austin does not have any ratios or quotas. All you would have to do is join either AANR or TNS and pay $25 per year to be a member of the travel club I was associated with. Since Travel clubs do not own property.....they usually have parties and get togethers at each others homes....and they travel to landed clubs. When I was the Activities Directer.....I would call the landed clubs.....find out who was doing what.....and when and put it on our calendar. I would arrange to get all my club members a travel club special group rate....whatever I could get.....but it was usually a lot better than paying full price.....It would be like $15 day fee. And it didn't matter if you were red, purple or orange.....if you were with my travel group you got in no matter what.....even if you were a single male. The only exception would be if you had been red flagged at that club......And that would be if you had been at that club before and you had done something really bad (in the club's opinion.....and they redflagged you) There isn't a lot anyone can do about that.

I did have this happen once......I had the travel club at a landed club for their Valentine's Festivities. During the Valentine's Day Dance one of my single male members was in the indoor swimming pool horsing around with someones children. He didn't ask permission or introduce himself to the parents....who were in the hot tub.....he just started physically interacting with the kids....touching them. The club authorities came and got me.....and I will tell you that there was not a thing that I could do to keep this guy from getting his butt kicked out of that club. Forever Red Flagged. In my bones I know that it was innocent. He liked kids and he was just playing around with them and throwing them in the pool.... But the clubs are overly protective of children. I would reccomend not having anything to do with anyone's children unless you have the parents permission. Like if you are being introduced. But don't talk to children or look at them too long. It is serious stuff here in the USA. Single males are under a microscope for a certain period of time.....and how they are around children is a big thing they are looking at.

I love the clubs in Florida and Haulover Beach. I have been to Caliente, Lake Como, Cypress Cove, Sunsport Garden and Haulover Beach. I would love to own a nudist resort someday......but not in my region.....

I have been to all of the clubs in the Southwest Region and to quite a few of them in California. And nudist beaches in California. We started out our nudism adventure in Virginia.....Whitetail Park and have visited Pine Tree Associates in Maryland......and Assateque Beach near Ocean City Maryland.

I would love to go to Jamaca one day.......and to the nude city in France.

The reason why in the USA the landed AANR and TNS associated clubs have the male verses female quotas and ratios is because there is a shortage of females having an interest in nudism. Men seem to be more willing to give nudism a try. Most women are brought the first time by a guy.....a boyfriend....or their spouse. Or maybe by a girlfriend......or she hears about a ladies get in free special. Most women will not give nudism a try by theirself. They have to be talked into it. Or a friend will go with them. The quota / ratio's at these clubs are supposed to be so single females won't feel uncomfortable being around 10 males to 1 female.

Now there may be a different reason in the swinger or sex clubs for the single females not having any trouble getting into their clubs. But not letting any single men in...... Supposedly the swinger men are more open to having another female join the equation.....Usually the swinger wife and the swinger man are open to more ladies. I think the swinger men are paranoid that if single men come and don't bring a female....the swinger man may get left out without having a sex partner. So the swinger men are the ones that controle the male verses female ratios.

I have no idea why they wouldn't make exceptions for gay couples.

About the suggestion of the law being passed making it illegal for people over 30 to be nude. There wouldn't be any nudists. There wouldn't be any nudists places to go to.......Most of the club owners or people that own anything are over 30.

People under 30 are not into organized nudism these days. I think it is just a phaze that the generations are going through. But people don't understand that here in the states......we do not automatically have the right to do whatever we want to do. We may think that we do, but we don't. If we didn't have The American Association for Nude Recreation fighting for our rights to have nudists clubs...and even the right to be nude in our own homes......we wouldn't have them....If we didn't have The Naturist Society fighting to keep our nude designated beaches nude.....we wouldn't have any nude beaches. There are groups of people that think it is their moral mission to shut down any nude places.

There are states that have really weird laws that need to be changed. I heard Arkansas has a law where a person can't be nude in his or her own home. He can only be nude in the bedroom and the bathroom. This all came about because people wanted to have nude parties in their homes and neighbors complained and somehow this stupid law got passed. I just feel like a person's home is their castle. It isn't anyone's businees what room someone is nude in. People shouldn't be peeking in people's windows.

I know that a county in my state passed a regulation against women being able to breastfeed in public. Just stupid stuff.

OK, sorry, I will get down off my soapbox.....

These are just my opions and heresay.....I may not have my facts straight and I may be a dumb ass so don't quote me or hold it against me. I did however used to be very involved in nudist politics. And this is what I saw and heard.

I personally would LOVE that 10-1 male-female ratio! :biggrin1:

I haven't been to a nude beach or resort, but live fairly close to both Riverside Ranch and Hippie Hollow now. Maybe I'll go to one of those this spring or summer. (but warning: I am over 30 :biggrin1: and overweight but not extremely so, more of a "chubby-average".) Oh, and that recommendation I don't like. Soooo....only under 30 and slim "hotties" should be ALLOWED to go nude? I think it should be allowable for everyone who wants to, regardless of age, size or shape!

I am a single female, and went to my first nudist event (a hot tub party, I have been to several of those) alone, although I knew most of the people there because it was put together by a club I was in (which is not a nudist club, although many of its members are nudists).

I haven't been to a swingers club yet although I have been to a few swinger house parties. I'd actually like it if they'd allow more single men to go to the clubs. I am totally straight and am not interested in playing with the female half of a couple (although I'd play with the male half as long as it's ok with said female half...)

I am going to jamaica in two weeks. The place I'm stay is one a nude beach and right next to Hedonism II.

I've never been to a nude beach and am not sure I'm ready to get nude in public. Is there rules that you have to be naked? If not a rule are you scorned for not doing so? Any other rules or do's and don'ts you can share?

What about Hedonism? Any one been there and anything you can share? I heard you can pay to get into it for the day? I'm going with a lady friend so I'm hoping she'll have some pull (she's got a great rack!!) :)

I am looking forward to seeing some huge cocks swinging! :)

Any info you can suppy would be apprechiated, thanks!

I think some resorts are "clothing optional" but it varies from resort to resort.

Actually, it is easier to be nude when everyone else is nude than you might realize. I'm one of the most body-shy people you would ever meet, yet I have been to several nude hot-tub parties, and while I was very shy at the first one I went to, especially at first, it is reassuring to see that there are a wide variety of people there, and most are what I'd refer to as average looking. (I've said this many, many times, but the number of "hotties" out there is VERY small, and the number of really ugly people out there is also very small. The vast majority of people are within the "average looking" range.)

Some clubs are nude only but most are clothing opt except in certain places like the pool and hot tubs. All beaches I know of are clothing opt. I’ve never heard of a nude only beach. Main thing is to behave yourself. Be socially polite and don’t go flaunting things. Except for newbies you will see very few who are not nude though, its usually to nice to be bothered with clothes at such places. Newbies need to keep handy a good sunscreen too. Sadly the number of nude beaches are disappearing fast and the cost of nudist clubs are going up big time.

I have never been to Jamaica or Hedonism II.....but I have heard that it is a lot of fun.

I would assume that the nude beach there is a clothing optional beach.....so you don't have to go nude if you don't want too.....Your female friend doesn't have to go nude if she doesn't choose to either. And it is very common for females to start out top free and wear bathing suit bottoms....until they feel comfortable taking off their bathing suit bottoms. It is acceptable to see women wear bathing suit bottoms because a lot of them to choose to do that when it is their monthly situation.

What I would suggest is for you to take the smallest bikini bathing suit that you have......to start off with.....so you can be as close to being nude as you can be. Even a g-string would work if you feel comfortable with that. Then take it at your own pace. There is nothing wrong with wearing a bathing suit at a nudist beach. Everyone has been at a place where they are trying nudism for the first time.....unless they are raised in a nudist park / resort. I wouldn't worry about being shunned.....unless you are truly way overdressed.....sitting in front of people and staring at them. That might make people feel uncomfortable and they might not be real friendly.

If you do give nudism a try....you need to make sure you always sit on your own towel. (Hygene purposes) I don't know if the place you are staying in provides the towels, (call them and find out) or just pack a beach towel. Maybe take a cheap one just in case you don't care if it gets back or not.

As far as anything else.....since I haven't been....I am not 100% sure on. You need to find out if you are expected to dress for dinner. And you need to find out what you need to bring to enjoy Hedonism II. I haven't been so I don't know. Do people dress in lingere? Do men need to wear something to put their wallets in? Like pants? I usually take a fanny pack to nudist places. Or a necklace thing to put my room key in and maybe a credit card.......unless they let you pay for everything with your room key.

You probably need to take condoms. I had some friends that went and they said there was open sex going on.

That is all I can think of. Hedonism II isn't like any nudist places I have ever been too. I think there are different rules there than at the nudist places here in the USA. Or maybe there aren't any rules there.

Spot on observations, Kadtxgirl, about nudist clubs and beaches, and swingers clubs.

I hope you and WhatIwant know I was being facetious about that "no one nude over thirty" rule. Considering I'm half a century old meself I'd be a bit pissed if someone seriously came up with that one.

But given what's gone on in Arkansas I guess anything is possible. Just goes to show what can happen when people/voters sit quietly and let their civil liberties get squandered away.
