I feel a picnic coming on. Where should we have it?

Anywhere in the Piedmont, or mountains north and east of Asheville would suit me. If there's really interest, I know a place near Winston-Salem that would be perfect-- but perhaps not conveniently central enough.

I like Craggy Gardens, but it's way off center.

In Greensboro? Guilford National Military Park? Is that central enough?

Morehead City and Blowing Rock would be logical choices, but they are not central. Climax fits the description, but its too country. Horneytown was just hit by the tornado, otherwise I'd suggest that. I'd vote for beers instead of a picnic...you really don't want me to prepare food!

Just stop at the Harris-Teeter and pick up something from the deli.

We rode by there today. Therefore, liking omens, I vote yes.

    PERFECT.

Other opinions? Date, time, location, menu, guest list?

NCbear (who's genuinely interested in a picnic, given the very nice spring weather we've been having recently)
