Uhhh....'prostrate', Sarge? I dont think it's an 'ignorant or spurous' question to ask. Some men just dont produce pre-cum, or do so very seldom. I dont think it has as much to do with 'preparing seminal fluid for ejaculation' ( by the way, I've hardly ever produced pre-cum and I have 3 kids, so it's not essential for fertility either) as it does to simply providing a natural assist for lubrication. I think you ought to lighten up, Sarge and try not be so harsh or critical of people just for asking a question.

If anyone's curious, the only reason I included circumcision in my question was that I saw quite a bit of curiosity expressed in archived threads as to whether uncut men pre-came more. So, I figured while I was getting an answer to the "how many" question, I might as well ask the "do you have a foreskin" question...:wink:

That way no one in the future (who has the sense to search archives first) will try to do yet another poll about that.

Pre-cum, for want of a better word, is the prostrate produced liquid which transports sperm. It gives semen its distictive odour, if a man does not produce it then he will be infertile and ejauculation will be impossible. I think what is being discussed here is the slight leakage of this liquid during sexual arousal and intercourse or masturbation. In some men it is quite profuse but belive me sex without it would be very painful. Obviously some men leak very little. As for size or circumcision having anything to do with it is just plain stupid. I apologize if I offend the faint hearted on this topic, but it is rather like asking someone with a nose does it produce a little or a lot of snot.

Personally I precum a lot. In fact, I have never had to use lube fucking my partner.

In my experience, it's a bell curve, some precum copiously like me, some not at all, and most in the middle. Overall, I'd say 30% of men don't precum much at all.

I have not found much difference between cut and uncut.

I am not attempting to be opstreperous. Pre-cum is seminal fluid. If you do not produce it sperm cannot travel along the urethra - they would be obstructed. I suppose the same people don't havre ear wax, saliva, muscosal membranes - a whole different unearthly species maybe.

No, pre-cum is produced by the Cowper's gland, a/k/a bulbourethral gland, and it doesn't normally transport sperm. It's delivered to the urethra via a separate vessel.

That's true of prostate fluid, not pre-cum.

It's not stupid. There's an urban myth that intact men produce pre-cum more often than cut men do. I've read of such theories on other forums as well. An explanation I've read is: foreskin inhibits evaporation. But that's a guess.

I do notice a difference in volume - there is more the hornier I am or the longer the period between ejaculations.

It is also a very good sign to use if you wish to control your ejaculation and I am able to hold back an ejaculation after I have precum as it were.

Do I have to do your Maths for you Jeff - current count 225 votes - 83 not cut - 142 cut. Same percentage of each always precum, but never 8% to 5% and seldom 22% to 18% to the cut guys - so a slight bent to the theory that cut guys precum less.

Maybe you should get your facts right before making your comments of ignorance? Judging by what you describe here, makes me wonder who is the ignorant one here. First, precum does not come from the prostrate (prostate is the correct spelling). It comes from the Cowpers glands. The rest, well wasn't any better.
