Please help identify this lgbt nude interview. What is the name of the show? And if posible could you help finding full show? I believe its Canadian but I could be wrong.
I believe you’re referring to the show 1 Girl, 5 Gays.

It was a Canadian chat show produced and filmed in Toronto, where one straight woman would pose intimate/personal questions to, and moderate an open discussion with, a rotating panel of five openly gay men from different cultural, ethnic, economic, and social backgrounds. Occasionally the panel would be opened to (or comprised entirely of) other members of the LGBT community, but this was relatively rare. I can remember maybe five or six specials with all Lesbian panels (or episodes with single lesbian guests), probably fewer than 10% of the shows total run.

Over the course of a season anywhere from 10-20 guys would alternate on the panel, but the host (Aaliyah Jasmine for the first few years) remained consistent for multiple seasons. She left toward the end of the run and was replaced by another established Canadian television personality (an actress from the Degrassi series who’s name escapes me) who hosted consistently until the shows end.

It ran for several years in the early and mid 2010’s, ending I believe around 2015. It was often aired as late night or filler programming back then, but I haven’t seen it aired even on Vancouver’s Queer channel (OutTV) in quite some time.

At the risk of bursting your bubble - the show was not usually conducted naked. That was a specific stunt episode, many of the questions were specifically about body image, and clips were often used in marketing. I believe they only did one such episode, but it may have been two. Also, it may have been late-night broadcasting, but this is still Canada, so obviously we never saw any of their goods, lol. Maybe a butt shot or two, but certainly no dicks.

I found the editing of that show generally less than appealing, and not every question or response was particularly insightful, entertaining, or inspiring. I’m sure I’d cringe going back to rewatch any of it, but the openness of the men on the panel made for some riveting, challenging, and often fascinating discussions about the queer experience - especially, on a personal note, because it was a rare look at the lives of other gay men in Canada - and specifically in a major metropolitan area that contrasted wildly with my restrictive rural background.

I can’t imagine it holds up very well as a television show, but I think it would at the very least serve as an excellent time capsule into a pre-McArthur Gay Toronto.
