Noob here so please forgive me if my lingo is not spot on. I'm wondering if there any tech savvy LPSGers that can help me root my Nexus One. I'm running Gingerbread 2.3.3 and I've been looking on the xda forums for info on how to root my phone but everything has been a tad outside of my tech knowledge. Can someone talk me through it? Ultimately I want to move my apps to my SD because the N1 has so little internal memory, I'm always bumping up against its limits. I also want to delete some of the apps that they force me to keep. Oh and here's the kicker...I'm on a mac, I know we do have a terminal app but I'm not well versed in it.

...I've been on the forum that is the first stop for android rooting, problem is that it's tech heavy and asking a noob question ain't the best idea, that's why I'm asking here. A link to another forum with the info I need would be much appreciated, but a guess about where I can find the answer is less helpful than a questionable how to...

Love my rooted Desire, ask for help on the android forums or follow the guides others have provided.

Thanks, but not really much to do with rooting a phone, they were apps in the marketplace for everyone to download. Also, I generally stick to the Google developed apps and popular, established ones.

No, they were official Google developed apps from the Google online store.
