Last night I had the idea that some decoration might be good for my bedroom, in fact it's still a little empty and bare. I don't plan any big things, but probably I'll re-paint it; the white of the walls seems so bare now. In addition, I've planned to get some decoration for the walls, I thought about erotic drawings. Now my question is: Does anyone here know an artist, or gallery, or dealer who could help me out here? I tried to search on the net, but everything the query returned was either japanese style images, unskillful pencil drawings of women in all different kinds of positions, images of BD/SM scenes, asphyxiation, necrophilia and cannibalism. That's NOT what I'm looking for.

What I'm looking for is:
  • Graphite or charcoal drawings, any kind of motive as long as it's not the pervert shit I've seen on the net;
  • Photographies of either single men, or heterosexual couples (B/W preferred, I reserve the right for myself to justify porn through this artsy touch).
If anyone can help me out, or has other advice on this decoration affair, feel free to post it here, or send me a PM.

What about taking some close ups of your body or your man's body. Crop them, make them black and white, or just work with them until you like them. I made a picture for my hubby years ago (when I had a fuckin slamin body) of the curve of my body from my breast to just below my hip. Not my face, you couldn't see anything but the curve and the shape of my body. I made it black and white and framed and matted it. He has it hanging in his freakin garage, but still...it's a good pic. I don't know, just a suggestion. You could even do photo tinting in photo Shoppe. Say you have your man put a rose between his teeth, then you take a photo, crop out everything but his lips and the rose. Keep all except the rose petals black and white leaving the petals to stand out. I hope that made sense. Words are starting to run together, long day. Um...I had a picture of just my boob posted here once. Just one boob and really close to the nipple, I'm thinking of doing something similar with that one....

Good luck! It is HARD to find tasteful erotic art...that's why I make my own :)

Well, thank you both for your input. Ed, the links to the galleries you sent to me were a step towards the right direction, I still have to see through all of them. Haven't found anything I like in particular yet, but I haven't checked through all the galleries so far. I really would like something in black/white, I have always loved the contrast. And since I already plan to bring some color to the walls, I think some white or dark highlights might be good.

Curiousgurl, I guess if my quest goes on like this, I really have to start modeling and edit some of those shots. Or maybe should hire a pro for this, I'm far from being an expert at handling photoshop software, or similar. Or this sounds like an opportunity to try to get into it. We'll see.

Oh, come on Claire! If my feeble mind can do it, surely your brilliant one can....should be a piece of cake! Feel free to send me anything you have (*note* this is not a ploy to get pics of claires naked body, although, that would be nice :wink: ), I am a novice, but have been told I do a pretty good job. At the very least you could have something to go on since my explanation was a bit vague. I wish I still had that picture I was talking about earlier saved on my drive, I'd send you that. Maybe I can scan it in. Anyway, sounds fun, I love projects like this!

Wow, these are really nice ideas! I especially like how personal it would be to follow CG's ideas. I wish I had some input to give, but most people hate what I've done to my room. It's... chaotic. I find the colors soothing and feminine, however. One thing I was going to suggest (and here comes the visual chaos now) was that you could take and edit a lot of photos as CG suggests, and print them out in various sizes. Put them all in either all round frames, or all square frames, and hang them like a framed collage. If you're going to incorporate leaving some colored items, and hanging a collection, then I recomend not leaving a colored item in each photo, but instead only in one, maybe two depending on the size of the collection. If you are going to have some colored items in the photographs, then all of the frames should be one solid color. They could be brass, or black, white, silver, or even some wood stain or other. If they'll all be black and white, you might try (in addition to all the varied sizes) diferent brightly colored frames that all work with your existing motiff. I plan on doing something like that for my grandmother's new study (my childhood bedroom). There will be a deep purple carpet, beige walls, and a white ceiling and ceiling fan, white trim and shelving. The furniture is going to be bright green and lavendar. The lampshades will be bright green and beige. There will be a very modern, ergonomic computer table: the kind with the monitor under the glass desk. I will spray-paint any metal parts gold. On the walls? Pictures of flowers, trees, fruit, birds, all in bright, colorful frames in shades of pink, yellow, green and purple. Will she like it? I think so. I'll love it, but I won't spend much time in there. I'm thinking of it as "70's futuristic" and if you could see the furniture and lamps you'd understand better. Anyway. I like visual chaos (to a degree) and that's what I have there, and in my suggestion to you. It's like an orderly chaos, if you dig it.

Hope somewhere in my rambling you found something helpful.

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea. CG, I guess when I have some things ready, I'll turn to you through PM and show you what I came up with, maybe you can give it a last hand. But I'll cut out many things for the print, so guys can have a guess at who that lady is. "That butt somehow looks familiar..." Really tasteful erotic art the way I want it is just too hard to find, or you can't pay it.

BB, you're right, you are chaotic! ;-) But the better kind of. I don't plan to become as colorful as you do, but maybe one wall or all will change color, I think about a shade of yellow, or maybe a brownish tone of red, but not too dark. And that's all, I don't want to work on the furnishment. I have a relatively simple bedroom anyways, some guys say it's "masculine". I really only have my bed, nightstand, drawer, closet and a chair for the du jour clothes. Shades, no drapes or curtains. But the day before I thought it might be too naked, so I had these remodelling ideas.

I'll keep you posted on the outcome.
