I have a thread going under Relationships,Discrimination and Jealosy about this, but the answers are coming mainly from older people. Please feel free to comment on that thread as well but:

Things have changed. What are (were) the rules for restroom use during school. and what do you THINK the rules should be. (Middle School and High School)

It is obvious to me that some schools in our nation have lost all respect for students, just because of the actions of a few.

What are the opinions of those of you 25 and under about this?

Has there ever been an "ACCIDENT" in grades 7 through 12 because the teacher said no?

Thanks for your reply. Actually limiting restrom use does not help the drug problem. Supervision does. The coke line you talk about is happening during the class change. One school fixed that by hiring monitors and having all students go unrestricted during class instead of during the class change which meant you had to leave somebody's class every day and maybe several times during the day. With just a few out all the time the monitors were able to control the drugs, gangs, smokers and etc. No, the monitors weren't always in restrooms but were in hallways knowing who went in, how long they took, and were able to go in if there were suspicious of inappropriate behavior. If doors are on the stalls, and restrooms are arranged appropriately, no voilation of privacy has to happen. Of course you need monitors of both genders to make it work well.
