Reading another post made me think about this. I've never had a guy loose his erection with me. I mean you see this all the time as a cultural reference and such - but it has genuinely never happened in my presence.

In fact - I've never had that many girlfriends tell me about it happening with them either. I've had maybe a few gay friends mention their partners having problems - but sod all really (forgive the pun).

Yet the first reaction, from anyone reasonable - myself included (if you could accuse me of being reasonable) - is "It happens all the time" / "It happens to everyone".

Have I been lucky? Am I that hawt?

Does this happen all the time? How do you, women and gay guys, react to it when it does?
It used to happen to me with guys all the time. Then, suddenly, one time, during intercourse, I decided to not do my usual rant about grocery shopping lists and how my partner wasn't meeting my needs. His pecker seemed to pep right up. Not sure why. Maybe it's just a coincidence. I'm pretty sure that when I stopped shouting and swearing, that probably helped, too. I still insist on doing my nails though. A woman mustn't compromise herself entirely just for mere affection and acceptance from a man.

:lmao:

Grocery shopping lists are the last thing on my mind during these times!

This has been an issue for me recently....(gasp). Tremendous stress, marriage break up, etc. For the record 40 year old in tremendous physical condition (no smoking, etc). 7.75 X 5.5 on a good day...

I have been prescribed Levitra and it has worked well but I wish I did not need it. It sucks. Trust me.

Have other methods been tried? I know that doctors are always looking for a quick fix. I'm thinking of things like relaxing music, different forms of stress relief. Candles, a favorite book.. somewhere that calms you.

That's the thing - is it better to leave it and say nevermind, try again another time - or is it better to keep on playing and doing other stuff but not be bothered if a hard-on doesn't happen? You would have prefered her to work you a little more?

I'd like to think I'd keep playing unless he expressly didn't want me to. And, if he didn't want me to, nip off to the bathroom to 'conclude matters' for myself.

For clarity: She asked if I wanted to make love, I was too tired, and she did very little to stimulate me. We were both OK with that scenario. She was not as sexually open at that time and she was happy to give it a pass. Would I have been able to get into it and have an orgasm? I don't know, we didn't try to follow through. Hard on's have never been an issue, it doesn't take much stimulation or stimulus. Other opportunities will arise in any case and there is no use worrying about it.

This sounds exactly like something a guy would write....
