Depending on how you measure, this could be true. It's 7.5" non-bone pressed and 8.25" with bone pressed. I'm not sure which one is considered the correct measurement here, but actual studies tend to use bone pressed. Also, it's 6.25" in circumference, so it's very fat, which can give the illusion that it's shorter than it actually is.
Either way, it's a lot to handle..
