One othere thought::: we get rid of bomb making components what will stp them from putting together ingredients to knock everybody out and bring the plane down that way? The airplane uses an internal air system which sends the air everywhere including the cockpit so even the pilot and copilot will be knocked out. SAFETY IS LIMITTED, not e verything can be detected and not every possible threat can be avoided, with homegrown terrorists all you need are a few of them in the screening areas at airports and the diisaster happens anyway. Once they pass the person through, the screener drifts out of the airport never to be seen again~~at least not with their former name.

In Canada, they plan to have the person viewing the scan sitting in a small room a small distance from where the scan machine is.
So s/he will never know who he was scanning anyway.

Strangely, I saw a CNN report where they were discussing the new scanners and in one video they showed a male passenger being screened. As he stood with his arms raised and was scanned the outline of his penis was clearly visible hanging down his leg. I backed up the DVR three times to make sure I wasn't imagining it. biggrin1 The report ran again an hour later but the hour after that the scene with the male passenger had been taken out.
