If you go to a nudist beach in Europe, you will see that most if not almost all of the participants are at least 35-40 years old. In a locker room, it is typical to see that young men (men who probably have a sexual life and are well outside of puberty) are a lot more shy than older men.

This is not only a problem because it deprives me of some beautiful bodies to see :), it seems to me that there is a more serious problem that the society as a whole should address.

When I was a young man, I had my fair share of porn. It was difficult to get, but there was and it was a reasonable part of my sexual life. Today's young men are exposed to an almost infinite amount of porn. They could see it all the day long, and this is resulting in them having problems with their bodies.

If you spend your time watching porn, you could get the idea that men are usually very toned or muscular, have a big dick, huge balls, cum a lot, fuck for hours: things that we do know are not real. Even the sex in a porn movie is not real, but a young man probably lacks the experience to understand that. I've heard of many young straight men that in the first sexual intercourse of their life instead of fucking the pussy chose to go anal, because they've understood, from porn movies, that is better.

So, they are ashamed of their bodies, and they tend to cover it as long as possible: how is it possible to be naked in a room full of other men when you don't have the 7 inch dick that is customary seen in a porn movie?

In the old days, being naked at the gym was a way to understand that you, as a man, are one of the many, not the one with the biggest dick not the one with the smallest, probably just a simple average guy with an average dick.

Now they constantly compare themselves to porn stars, with understandable results. I'd like to say that this does not happens in all the gyms I've been into in Italy, as there have some when young men simply don't care to be naked when drying their hair in front of others, with the positive defiant attitude that a young man with a toned body should have. But there is a tendency that I am seeing.

This worries me a bit, because men (I am always referring to them but I think the same happens for women) should not be ashamed of their body and should have a positive attitude towards sexual life. It is a clear example of ends.

Do you see the same? Does this worry you? We are going to see, in our lives, nudist beaches as a place for older persons?

I agree with most of what you say. But it's not normal to have flabby untoned bodirs. There is a reason people feel conscious of their shape it represents fitness from an evolutionary and reproductive stance. Being flabby and soft is a modern occurrence. A result of sedentary work and lifestyles. So it shouldn't be a race to the bottom. Also I fuck for hours and think most men don't know what real sex is, and should try harder.

Ease of access to porn has only really been the case since the internet came about. Nude beaches have existed long before that and the age group attending was still the same as it is now. So i don't think porn is the reason the new generation don't go to nude beaches.

But I do think that porn is somewhat responsible for making you insecure about your cock size as a teenager/young man when you're still growing up. But you grow out that insecurity (or should) as you hit your late teens early twenties when you realise that the majority of men have the same sized cock.

What does watching Porn have to do with, the vision of a Toned Body ? For every hour of porn watching the average Male is exposed to countless hours of Television / Movies, where the Ideal M/F bodies are displayed. They are exposed to daily print advertising, where the models have the ideal M/F bodies. As for 7 inch cocks, just as most males are not six feet tall and the vast majority are not. It is kind of assumed that men understand that not everyone has a 7+ inch penis.

I must further disagree about " I've heard of many young straight men that in the first sexual intercourse of their life instead of fucking the pussy chose to go anal, because they've understood, from porn movies, that is better. " I can not imagine a straight young man who waited his entire life since his first boner, to choose anal, over Vagina. Secondly women in general, let alone young women will not so willingly say yes to anal sex. I have read in LPSG countless times about how many Gay men do not practice anal, top or bottom, they do not find it enjoyable.

Call me crazy but it could have a tiny bit to do with not wanting random dudes perving on their bodies. I'm not ashamed of my body, but I don't go nude in the locker room. I just don't feel the need to share my body with every person who decided to work out the same time as me. I rarely speak for my other half, but I'm pretty sure he feels the same way. He's built like a Greek god and has more than 8 inches hanging between his legs. I'm quite sure he's not keeping his clothes on out of shame or fear of not living up to porn stars who are in inferior physical condition. I suspect you're not giving enough credit to simple modesty.

Think outside of your own world for a moment to consider that "many" not most girls are not raised in a sex positive environment and may feel like anal isnt as big a deal since they "retain their virginity" (I dated a girl who this was the case).

Also in the case of boys, don't discount social programming. If they hear so many times "put it in the butt" and read about how it is the holy grail on the internet, theyre horny enough to put it in any orface that will accept their penis.

As for nudity. I think it is a cultural thing. We aren't allowed to celebrate our bodies on the whole anymore. Society has a really strange double standard for fit/slim girls where they can love their body and yet get slut shamed by so called feminists for their clothing. However if they're not as attractive they should wear whatever makes them happy.

For men, it's all gone downhill since MJ started wearing long shorts over his UNC shorts. Men keep covering up more to make sure people know they're not gay or some shit like that. Who knows.

I completely agree with this. I am confident enough about my body to display it anonymously on the internet, but that's my choice -- I wouldn't want to be perved over in a public place, while alone and without my consent, in a place where human decency dictates that I should be able to expect a modicum of privacy. I find the thought of it distasteful at best and ever so slightly creepy at worst. If there were more men who were consciously and deliberately exposing themselves all over the place in changing rooms I would also find that a bit annoying at best, and offensive at worst.

I've watched my fair share of porn over the years, although not nearly so much in recent years as when I was a younger man. I have heard media scare reports that anal is becoming more common amongst the sexually inexperienced due to porn, but I would concur with @ronin001 in as much as I would testify that this has not been my experience. Speaking for myself, I have a strong, monomaniacal compulsion toward vaginal sex, which is a function of the urge to propagate the species, which is a biological imperative. I have no similar compulsion toward anal, which I regard as little more than a curiosity. If people enjoy it, more power to them, but it could never come before pussy.

So then another random looking at you in the locker room is "perving" on you???

This is perving on you. My point being... Maybe some of these guys stay clothed because they simply don't want you looking at their naked bodies. It's really not a difficult concept.

Try to read this with some humor. Also, if a man is shy of being occasionally naked from other men, it has a problem. Also, if I see a man naked I don't stare at his dick as if I am in an epiphany, it's just a quick look as every man, get or straight, does.

No "it" doesn't have a problem. There really isn't an issue with preferring to be clothed around strangers. Who is it hurting? It's not like keeping your clothes on takes extraordinary effort or something. I don't find it at all challenging to keep my clothes on in front of people. If someone has trouble being nude around their significant other, okay... there's an issue... but that's really not anybody's business.
I think the larger issue is that people like the OP are actually bothered by people's preference to not strut around naked. Not everyone wants to be part of your spank bank.

Speak for yourself.
Not "every" man looks.
I don't.... Because I don't care to see.
I'm not uptight. I'm not ashamed of my body. But I also don't need some creep in the locker room perving on me.

I don't think I'll ever understand the current culture regarding men being naked around each other in settings like locker rooms. Once they stopped requiring boys to shower in school things started to change.
And it bothers me how so often younger guys assume that if they are naked in front of strangers in the locker room and some other guy looks at them that the guy is "perving" on them. It is similar to the idea that many straight men express about not wanting to shower or be naked with openly gay men because the fear they'll be looked upon as sexual objects. Like every single gay man would be drooling over them. I doubt it.
We have become so hung up on things now that for generations were not a problem . All the "good touching, bad touching" indoctrination and teaching kids to be fearful of every stranger they encounter has done some damage, imo. Kids grow up with such distrust and suspicion.
I believe that each guy has the right to chose whether to be naked in a locker room or not. To take a shower or not. Whatever. But the assumption that guys, mostly older ones now, only want to "perv" on them if they do get naked is quite troubling to me.
I recently joined a gym. I'd not been in a locker room setting for many years. So far the guys I've met who are the most friendly and the most relaxed about being naked are men nearer my age. Us older guys who aren't perving on anybody but just using the locker room for what it was intended.

my theory for what it is worth is that all the exposure & hyper sexualization of EVERYTHING, & free flowing porn from any device has created a complex that most "young" people have that their body isn't good enough. that and everyone is now to be afraid to be naked with their kids to show them we are all different & thats ok... i will stop ranting.

You bring up good points. There are probably lots of reasons why things are as they are today.
There is a downstairs locker room at my gym that is mostly used by swimmers and I assume by parents with kids on days when there are children's programs. I use the upstairs adult-only locker room. But one time I had to use the bathroom and I went in the other one because it is next to the workout room. There was a sign on the wall saying that adults must be covered when children are present. I was totally perplexed. How can one be covered in a locker room? A locker room is a place where you get naked and shower, get dressed and go home. If a parent brings a child in there and they object to seeing a naked adult then I'd tell them not to go in there to begin with. Things are screwed up. I didn't realize how much had changed from years ago when I belonged to a gym in my younger days.

This is more social body shaming I don't get why people are so anti nudity. It's just what we have under all the clothes. Sure not all of us are swimwear models but we all need to get changed...
