So I'm in my second year of college, and I noticed recently I've gotten a bit chubby since high school. Back in high school I used to just wear normal shorts and boxers, not caring that it was pretty reveling of my package. I had kind of a reputation for it in high school, my friends made big dick jokes in the shower and when I lifted and such, but the gym that I'm joining is right next to my work and many of my coworkers are there. I'd like to keep a low profile, hide it more than I used to, so it's not awkward at work. I'm more embarrassed by it than I used to be. I'm new here, so what's the best way to keep it hidden if I want to at the gym? Compression shorts? Briefs? I don't want to be chafed when I'm on the treadmill or have a bulge sticking up when I lift. Help is appreciated!

Best thing that i wear always whether im at work, gym, going out or in a suit is boxer briefs. They hold you in place without being restricting. Different brands have different fits so you may have to find out whats more comfortable through trial and error. They do keep you contained whether your running, cycling or doing any lifting.

Alright, I'll try out boxer briefs, and if it's still visible, than well fuck it. It's not the worst thing to happen. Thanks for the advice!

You're a man. You have a dick. Who cares if people see your bulge? This is like a woman saying "I have huge tits, how do I hide this from my coworkers? I don't want them to know I have huge tits!" Wear what is most comfortable to the gym and don't worry about others.

I wear jocks to the Gym, just avoid the enhancing pouch kind. I would avoid the same feature in Boxer Briefs. unless you are at a Gym where people cruise each other no one will really care about a buldge. If you do have one showing, it is your confidence that people will find sexy not your embarrasment.

May I chime in?... Yeah, you should be able to wear what is comfortable, but, believe me, you don't need the office gossips talking about your dick at your job. I would recommend going to a different gym, perhaps one closer to home, than work.

Action is right. U wanna be at ease and relaxed in the gym so u can focus on lifting, running, whatever. I lift at a YMCA that is very chill, almpst all old men so no BS w cruising etc. Younger guys focused on lifting, older men there to just get a light jog in. Also, bro, trust me, a jockstrap is what u need. None of these crazy fashion ones, just an old school Bike wideband. I have a heavy hanging softy and big lowhanging bull balls. The jock does the trick man and no bulge showing etc....well that is u til ya take off ur shorts in the locker! Be relaxed buddy and focus on the workout bro. Peqce

If it's work for your long-term career, then you should consider changing gyms, or at least try things as other suggested (wear a jock, looser fitting shorts). You need to be comfortable where you work.

But if it's part-time like at some retail store or restaurant, then fuck it who cares.

Lots of good advice here! And to those wondering, it is a part time job, I don't know how long I'll be working there for now but it's giving me a living. I may just say fuck it. I don't really mind if the women see it but guys, straight or gay, act kind of weird about it. Not just attraction but they get weirded out by it. Though I did change into gym shorts when I was leaving work one night, I got some "looks." I think I'll try out something compressing and comfortable but if it's out, fuck it, it's out.

Compression shorts compress...that's what they're for. They'll smash your genitals nearly flat, but judging from my own experience it's not a good solution for those of us who are well endowed.

I wear a jockstrap, one with a pouch. (Not an enhancing pouch) It actually cradles my genitals, holding them in position so I do not get hurt when I run.

But, seriously, don't fret so much about your bulge. All men have them. Wear some loose shorts over a jockstrap, and be finished with it.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, just some underwear that holds it down so it's not flopping everywhere. A little bulge never hurt anyone. But don't forget to spend hours hanging around the locker room nude trying to talk to people. Apparently that's why gym's exist according to people around here.

Haha oh I'm not really ashamed of it, I just know from past experiences it can warrant, some wanted, but mostly unwanted attention from both sexes.

Speaking as someone who goes to a gym where coworkers go, it's only awkward at first. Got one or two looks and that was it.
Just don't flaunt it. I hate those guys who walk around with their towel around their neck and not their waist.
As for underwear, I recommend briefs with a pouch (2xist, for example) or a jockstrap. I've seen a few guys wearing jocks under boxers (which I don't understand) if you're worried that briefs are "uncool." That stigma is gone on the West Coast.
