Yes, it's very true. Men don't talk about these things easily. My best friend and I sometimes talk about these things, but we always feel "just a bit" awkward about it, as though we "shouldn't" be talking about it. Frankly, I think it's a byproduct of homophobia, with the underlying (and erroneous) reasoning being that if you are interested in these things then you are in fact secrety gay, etc. But the truth of the matter is that every man, straight, gay, whatever, has a penis attached to his body, and that penis is important to that guy, so it's important for him to be able to talk about it.
It's an odd thing that people don't seem to understand, but in some odd ways men are actually more oppressed than women. Women can sit and talk about their breasts all day, openly comparing their breasts, talking about other women's breasts (I think even Oprah Winfrey had done this on her show), and no one will question their sexuality. But let a man talk about penis length, compare it openly, etc., and someone will question his sexuality.
It's kind of like as men we are expected to be isolated.
Oh, by the way, this is probably better than therapy -- because it's free! I went to therapy for a while, and I was charged from $35 to $50 an hour, and that was almost a decade ago (with a sliding-fee scale)! I can't imagine what it's up to now.
Thanks, bro,
Skinny Guinea

Welcome to the LPSG as well. I stumbled across the forum looking for "custom underwear". But many, many of the topics hit home so hard that it is astonishing. Men do not talk to each other like women do so we have an outlet like this which I am greatful for. The perspective that this forum and so very many topics have done for me I cannot even begin to tell you. It is a step below seing a shrink. Having your feelings, thoughts and experinces validated here has been a god send and I am so greatful. In addition you do not have to always respond read and learn I have and learned a lot about myself and others. Again welcome. My signature says it all for me.
