New Jersey may ban Brazilian bikini waxing
I don't think it needs to be banned but they do need to be more careful about who is allowed to do Brazilian waxes. I had a horrific reaction to a Brazilian wax during the fall of 2006 when I was still living in NJ. Not only did the technician take a layer of skin off with the wax. I was allergic to the post wax soothing creme and she didn't believe me and applied more! My poor pussy was sore for days. Thank God for Neosporin with pain relief or I may never have lived to tell the story. :irked:
New Jersey may ban the Brazilian bikini wax as a health hazard. The state Board of Cosmetology and Hairstyling will meet April 14 to decide whether to ban genital waxing, a procedure made popular in Brazil to accommodate skimpy thong bikinis, the Associated Press helpfully points out. Normal bikini waxes would still be permitted.
The Philadelphia Daily News
quotes Jeff Lamm, a spokesman for New Jersey's Division of Consumer Affairs, as saying the proposal was prompted by complaints to the board from two women who were injured and hospitalized. The AP quotes skin care experts as saying genital waxing can be dangerous in that the hot wax can irritate or tear delicate skin in the bikini area, resulting in infections, ingrown hairs and rashes.
