The key point in the original post is in her requirement: "without my husband INTERFERING" implying that he is not supportive of the idea.

I've known people who swing before and whilst it's not for me, I don't see reason to stop them. I may approve, I may disapprove, that is not the issue. The essential factor of any successful open relationship is the consent and desire of ALL parties concerned. My primary care is that people do not get hurt in the process. To care in such a manner is, I would surmise, an expression of my gentlemanly concern, far from a contradiction of it.
