I wonder how the Patriot Act will affect those who are moderators?
Will they be able to 'wire-tap' my posts and threads?
Will they have to have Rob_E's approval first (since he's the owner)?
Will Rob_E buy them cool black suits, shades, etc.?
Will they have black ops helicopters as their avatars?

Inquiring minds want to know...
It is my understanding that Pat Roberson, Jerry Fallwell, and Dick Cheney are the new moderators. Not sure. Just rumors.

Let's see...

Pat Robertson is moderator of the posters who have put their foot in their mouth.

Jerry Falwell will moderate the lurkers (silent majority.)

Daddy Dick will secretly listen in from an undisclosed location.

I hear that my son Freddie54 who staged a wonderful death and funeral at Radio City Hall in New York will be the head moderator here. We have also had several teens who are former members volunteer as well to serve. I think they would do a wonderful job.

Don't worry Rob E. about the teens being moderators. Since Pappy and I are going to prison for being male and turning 55 soon, we thought you would enjoy coming with us.

Apparently, some members have been appointed to act as moderators even though their names are not public yet.

I saw in a thread that madame_zora asked a poster to change the picture in her avatar, and the poster in question said that she already had been P.M.ed by another moderator.

My question is, why all this mystery? If the moderators are already appointed, then I am not sure why their names have not been made public yet.

Rob_E, I would appreciate if the names of the moderators were announced as soon as possible, especially if they are already entitled to use their "powers" as moderators. I am sure that many other members here would second that.

There will be no secret moderators. I saw the same post, she meant me, i.e. didn't make the distinction between Admin and Moderator.

The fact is, everyone here is a moderator, in so much as they help to keep the board in order, and help newbies figure out how to use the forum.

Disqualification for being a moderator should accrue to anyone who has racked up hundreds of posts every month. These people are on here way too much to moderate anyone else. In fact, they are the ones who need to be watched most closely -- and they're the ones who chase many of the new posters (and their potential revenue for the site) away.
