I put in a new self-piercing on Saturday.

Now have a small ring around the edge of the under-side of my foreskin.
Not sure how it will heal or if it will be long-term, but I like how it looks, and how I imagine it may look as I upsize it in future.

Does anyone have any experience with similar piercings?

Off the top of my head, a Prince Albert or the piercing through the edge of the head are the common piercings closest to that. Depending on placement you may have issues with migration or tearing through. My guess is that it will heal quite quickly with a week or two of sea salt soaks. Upsizing should be easy and will ease the risk of the piercing tearing out.

I had this in mine for nearly a year...just daily wash, keep the area clean is the main thing and you should be fine.

Be sure to soak it in luke warm sea salt and water twice a day until healed. Also, any urine that runs over the hole will keep the piercing hole clean. The saline soaks really help in healing and are very soothing. What gauge and diameter of ring?

Thanks - it's only a small ring at the moment - 14 gauge to get it through the hole, but will size up asap.

Still a bit swollen around the area, but keeing it clean.

Have others in the "area" - two small hafada rings on left side front of sac, a 6ga frenum, 4ga mid-line front sac and recently sized up to 4ga back of sac / guiche so I'm OK with care requirements.

My main concern with this one is stability - both tendency to migrate itself, and possibility of tearing it during vigorous activity.
