He has until 2010 to call an election. I doubt he will wait that long but how long should he wait?

In all honesty an election date should be set as soon as it's feesibly possible. He was not elected to the position by the population. He is there by default.

I don't care - I gave up on democracy years ago - but I voted As Soon As because that appears to be what most English people want (the Scots and Welsh have their own things going on it seems and no one gives a fuck what the Nthn Irish think - no one has needed their vote to swing things in a while)

Don't have an opinion on it, it's a Britt matter, but I envy a country where a national election can be done in two weeks, rather than the two years (and billions of dollars) it takes in the US. It certainly doesn't often get quality people in office.

I still find it interesting that we can't just do an "emergency vote" rather than getting stuck with the same old people but a different face.

A notable exception to the "you get what you pay for rule". In reality we do little better here. At least we know we're cheap.:smile:
