But be warned, there's a certain cadre of membership here who are relentless in their overt disdain and occasional outright hostility to anyone who is not height/weight proportionate by ideals set on TV and in certain "health" magazines.

I'm not a beast, not also not H/WP. I am surprised to hear that people here are disapproving or so strongly hostile to heavier guys. Is this attitude directed at anyone who partakes of the site or specifically people who are overweight and endowed. If it is the latter it sounds very similar to the attitude that I witnessed which seems to lend itself to "how dare you not take care of yourself and be fit with a dick like that"

It's not just directed at men either. I've noticed a fair few weight-related comments about women too.

Please stick around Orz. If you're a nice guy the majority of us will welcome your input and presence on the site.

I am a heavy woman myself and I've been on the receiving end of body type discrimination more times than I care to mention. I'm really sorry that happened to you and I completely understand why it bothers you so much. He is obviously immature and very insecure so I wouldn't give much credence to anything that bozo says. If anything? He pretty much shouted to the world "I have a little dick, I'm jealous of you and I'm going to stoop to schoolyard insults to make myself feel better" when he made his remark. If it happens again, just say "I'm not fat. When you have a tool like mine you gotta build a shed over it." I don't remember the comedian that said that but I heard it ages ago and never forgot it.

Just wanted to clarify that it wasn't my friend who said it, just someone in a group of people one of my friends and I were talking to.

So far I really do appreciate the welcome. It's nice to have a place to chat about the more difficult aspects of our "condition" As a heavier guy who, while I think I look pretty good for my size, is of a less outgoing semi-shy nature it has been tough sorting through people's genuine thoughts about me. I know it's poor self esteem but I do sometimes wonder if *it* is the reason a woman has chosen to pick me up at a bar or some outing. This can be a topic for another thread though. i'm just happy to be here!

Actually, this is pretty unlikely. Few women actually pick up a guy based on penis size, despite the remarks some of us (including me) have been known to make. Secondly, even big penises don't look all that big once you are fully dressed (unless you're wearing something special :wink. It's much more likely that your personality actually appealed to them :smile:.

It's sad that there are people who will come out with stuff like that from time to time. Personally I would have politely carried on with the conversation then just avoided him in future, but I know that's easier advice to give in hindsight than to follow at the time. Oh, and welcome! :biggrin1:

you could have responded "and he wasted the gift of life on a dick like you." People like that need to be beaten within an inch of their lives. ugh... One of my bear friends had a shirt that said...I may be fat, but you're ugly and I can lose weight.

Don't pay attention to people that act like that...they generally are acting out because of some insecurities. Let Karma deal with them. She's HARSH!

I join in the welcome too! Good posts here....and take them to heart. Most guys who are bitchy or "have to make a comment in a negative way" have serious problems.....

Like women...who have different breast sizes, patterens of the pubic areas, we have the same differences. I for one prefer to be with a guy who is chilled and can laugh, rather than be bitchy. Ditch that guy big time....he is no friend of yours.

I mix with straights and gays and I go to saunas, and do stuff......the vast majority of men are insecure anyway.....to be honest I have seen some big whoppers only to find out that they were artificial.....I prefer au natural myself...as these artificials...the more I see the more I now recognise them....why? Because it looks imperfect.....not worth thousands of pounds at all.....

I undertand some resorting to that if they were unusually small....and I dont blame them but they dont go to extremes they just want to look more "normal"...that is cool...and good for them.

Just one warning....next time you see someone with an extraordinary package...ASK THEM IF THEY HAVE CANCER??? One guy I know was so proud of his big balls like grapefruits......it was cancer and he died quick....be careful of what you wish for....it could be death next.

That being said again thanks a lot for the comments. So far it's been a pretty awesome community and I'm enjoying the people. I may look into putting a couple of pictures on here once I get a little more acclimated. That isn't seen as showing off or being a braggart is it? I suppose this sort of question should go into the new user forum and if so I apologize. I don't want my penis to be the only source of identity but at the same time it feels like in an environment like this where we're all linked in some fashion it almost makes sense to share it. Maybe I'm weird?

It was frustrating because he's a friend of a friend and I generally hate to make social scenes awkward you know? But...he is frightfully insecure and clearly has some massive penis envy because he zeros in on me in particular. Now I weight about 50 pounds less than I did the last time I met him (205 versus 254) but I'm still a heavy guy. Other people were happy for me but this dickwad couldn't keep his mouth shut...again. I was honest with him and maybe a bit mean but I think that comes with standing up for yourself. Bully's need that slap on the nose or they won't stop.

I ended up using some lines you guys suggested and it was priceless. It ended up making me a bit more popular with some of the other girls (and guys) there who apparently didn't get the memo and I liked the attention a little bit. It's not often I get to be the popular guy of the moment even if it is because of my penis or something.
