New to NewYork--A new begaining !!

Im new here in New York- living in Sunnyside (Queens) moved from Iowa
but my home state is Oklahoma where i lived most of my life.
I came here to start a new life after my partner of 19 years passed away
with throat cancer back in 2008.

I am looking to meet friends , and i have found that is a little hard to do.
Im hopeing this site will help with that. I have only been here 8 months
but , i am enjoying it so far. Its going to be a growing prosscess for me
by starting a new life here and i can only hope that each day is better than the day before.
