Mine is gone too. Looks like everything is toast, no more porn posts. They probably shut down to avoid legal issues. Lots of copyright violations, posting of artists work without permission, I'm sure some stuff was getting posted that was causing concern for the site hosts.

After having my Tumblr blog arbitrarily canceled (it has been restored), I went to NewTumbl. Great site at first; I noticed a lot of far-right posts popping up on their cover page over the last year or so though, and I also began hearing about blogs being canceled, though thankfully I never experienced that. But then boom, last Wednesday, they were gone!

NewTumbl was great while Dean was active with them. He was cool about everything and seemed passionate about upcoming updates and site enhancements. One day he was gone, and it all changed after that. At some point, users were invited to act as moderators on a volunteer basis, seemingly pushing their own agenda over the original site intent. I believe this is when underage posts moved to the forefront and the chatroom became a place to advertise those of like mind. Blogs started disappearing when inappropriate pics were flagged, and an awareness to fight back was created. One user claimed to have reported the site for these issues. Of course this is all speculation, but it seems that the struggle was ongoing with the new moderator group getting way out of hand. Deleting blogs across the board without making any sense was a pretty dramatic statement to all of us who were playing fair and only wanted an awesome place to play within legal boundaries. If the NewTumble team didn’t just get mad at users for reestablishing their deleted blogs and finally call full stop, then they may have not known they were about to get shut down either. It feels like they shot themselves in the foot and ruined it for everyone.
Anyone know where the account something like hotsleepers went? They had videos of sleeping guys getting bjs and handjob.

I bet Newtumbl's host company had received tons of DMCA takedown notices and lawyer letters. They have to pulled the plug on Newtumbl eventually. As long as a social media platform allows users to post images/videos, there are always legal issues. Sooner or later.

Sorry this may not be the best place to ask, but does anyone remember a hairy middle aged guy from Tumblr? He had some artistic stuff but also posted a lot of nudes - the most specific thing I can remember is he would wear cartoon-esque and/or superman type boxers and i remember him being from the midwest. I know that is vague but that's all I can think of, he is/was really hot in a "nerdy" way and I really miss him. Would appreciate any help finding him again!

I'm not a big fan either, but there's an archive overview like in tumblr where yo ucan filter by type of post if that's what you're looking for.
