Exactly! "Personal responsibility" means more than just "fend for yourself, you damned freeloaders, because I don't want to pay taxes"; it means realizing that freedoms come with responsibilities: If you don't want the consequences, don't do the deed. In this case, advocating eugenics through euthanasia - even as a joke (as someone suggested) - is unacceptable for an elected official given the disasterous consequences of that exact policy when pursued with extreme enthusiasm by a certain loudmouthed politician with a funny moustache only about seventy years ago; the results of that were no laughing matter.Free speech has its consequences.
